Coming to the realization i may have root rot in veg

I GOTTA BREATH okay so looking at actual root maggots what i have are way smaller so i believe like someone said i it is just fungus gnat larve. Sigh of relief 🥲.

Still not wanted gross get em outta here.

Going back to veg these pictures are of multiple plants some lower leaves some top leaves one is praying the other is droopy.

Goin back to my recent harvest what was so successful about it.

Well i belive i had way more perlite in the mix so i was able to water every single day or every other day with no issues pushing the nutes all that. This time around i used less and Im watering every other day thinking my pots are light so I’ve been watering. I thibk the lack of perlite is causing more water to be held and me watering when it doesn’t need to be watered just yet……

Just holding a vacancy sign for fungus gnats. So the plan is I’m not watering until they are droopy and when they are it’s just enough to keep them alive

@Shadey @Mrgreenthumb
Would this line of thinking seem logical or am i just over thinking lok

I also noticed transplanting in veg my root balls were like layered moist dry moist so when i transplanted i let dry out for a day or two then watered

I’m also thinking about waiting on flipping my veg until my flower side is done now clearing everything out lights filters plants cleaning and sanitizing the tent lights filters fans etc. putting the plants back in and spraying everyday and doing som lost cost soil drenches once a week

Glad to hear that it is not a maggot problem…Overwatering is for sure your cause of the gnats…I always added about 20% of perlite to my promix. Even so watering every day or every other day even is excessive, I watered about every 3 -4 days depending on plant size…I always filled a pot with dry soil mix and lifted it to get a base weight. . If you need to get a moisture meter, you want to water just before the plants start to wilt. You get your soil dried out and on a good watering schedule your gnat problem will be a whole lot better
Good idea on clearing out flower tent and sanitizing.

Like Mr Green Thumb I water every 4 days roughly, depending on the time of year, and how fast the plants are drinking it will be a day quicker or longer. If I have a deficiency that I recognize, I will lower the water amount and water every other day, to get more nutrients that I top dress with, in the soil quicker.

I like to water just as they start to droop, once you get used to how the plants look when they are just starting to droop its pretty easy to recognize. If I am unsure I stick my finger in the soil as far as it will go and feel the moisture content as sometimes the bottom 1/3rd of the pot can get compacted as I do no till and the same soil stays in the pot. This can then get hydrophobic and the roots won’t go to the bottom of the pot because its dry. Usually a swift couple of toe punts around the base of the pot loosens it all up again lol.

I mean maybe it wasn’t EVERYDAY but every other i never had gnats i never had bugs till i had this many plants i mean what did i seriously expect……i guess i expected pesticides to work better?

I think i did a number of things wrong never having this many plants i Foubd some wormy lookin things on a leave in veg i said oh hell no and sprayed everything down with azamax

But i had a few droopy plants and split a gallon of food between 5 plants i figured this will still hydrate them while not over doing it still fighting the gnats and i swear i saw some fuckin on the DE i laid down……kinda like a fuck you lol

Today veg will need some water….debating doing a lost cost soil drench and flower being pushed back i have options of what can be done. I’ll just keep topping to keep the canopy down i guess? Lol or kill because i already have a clone of my tallest one granny apple sass……which the clone is showing some of the same signs as the mother so I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong

Hell i may just switch over to my free nutes sunleaves and finish everything i got with nectar in both 4x4s…….

So that being said what would be some good beneficials to get for salt nutes

This is the feed chart they say you don’t need any boosters so i guess I’m just lookin for like things to bring out certain terp profiles or to push terps

If you’re in soil you could use FishSh!t, heard quite a few say it helps bring out the terps.

Looks like you still have the P deficiency/lock out going on.

Yeah i assume it’s deficiency? I can’t see how it would be an over nute lock out

I may actually idk Im going to focus on flower right now flushing lets gooooo i had some run off of 560ppm kinda right where i want it but also the plant got some burnt tips expected as i was pushing

But i did some experimenting i took my worst infected pot of fungus gnats mixed up 2 ounces of lost coast plant therapy and 1 ounce of iso and then pH to 6.3 got two of the same strain so why not figure out in the last two weeks of it will have any affect on the plant also I’m flushing this week so i figured it would flush that out as well.

And when i mean flush i mean a tablespoon of Aphrodites extraction and 2 tablespoons of Herculean harvest and very little run off

I also made a homemade fungus gnat trap out some apple cider vinegar and some dish soap on a shallow container with plaster wrap over it with holes apparently it attracts them and then they can’t get out so well see
