Jaybeezy’s garden

@Cartwright i have not read the book just OCGfam show on youtube trial and error and scotts guidance

i do slurries when theres major problems likke these and thats when i found my so soil was 7.3 for most and 8.2 for 2 of them so i hit em with a gaia flush and now adding more gaia to every feed and feeding at 6.1

Excellent. The ‘book’ / Bible is on trello, download it for sure.

One of the last pages. like page 95 or something, there is a chart.

The chart is very helpful by showing ph/ppm situations, and the solution to them. Similar to what you are doing.

So, 7.2 ph and 600 ppm slurry, would not have you adding the gaia. It would be a herc flush only, as the food is there, but the plant cannot uptake it properly cuz yer ph is all wacky.

One other thing i noticed with nftg, you need to add all those ‘play nice’ additives to get the most out of the nutes.
slf100 is a must
ful power helps
photosynthesis plus tea in a bottle is good too
tm7
etc…the list is in the bible, i use these 4, and do well with nectar when it is needed.

Glad to hear you have Scott’s support, but you can always drop me a line, I’m a nectar fan.

That said, it’s still devil juice in a bottle, and proper administration can be elusive.

I find alot of runoff helps, with every fertigation, tea, or flush/reset. gotta get the bad out and the good in.

Just thought of this too. Nectar soil is plug and play with the nute line. Consider investing in some bags ;), #4 is what ive used. #8 looks interesting.

while that is true when prresented to scott with the problem earlier this year he said gaia mania is way betteer at bringing my soil ph down. (nectar #4 soil)

we have decided its gotta be my water with how my ph is spiking now like i said this happens every run so this was discussed ealier this year so he said a gaia flush and a nectar “reset” and gave me a recipe

the only thing im not running is ful power since this problem they have had any teas because i figurrred they would just die in an unbalanced envviroment

OK, cool, sounds like you are getting good support.

Can you post up your water test here for me to see? I’m curious, is it city, well, ro, filtered. what’s the ppm? lots of calcium? nitrates?

I found it easier to run with higher ppm near 300, with lots of cal and mag in there, that was the old well. my new well is 70 ppm, so I have a more difficult time, cuz I actually gotta feed indoor plants all the time now with plants of longer veg. short veg, my soil still carries well.

What do you mean like me personally take the tests ph and ppm
Or post the Colorado Springs water test lol

Because here’s the CSU water quality report https://www.csu.org/Documents/2022%20Drinking%20Water%20Quality%20Report_sm.pdf

They say it comes from the Rockies

That’s the report. perfect.

CHLORINE, and prob some chloramines too :open_mouth:

Ok, if I am reading it right, and I think I am, they are treating your water heavily with chlorine. Seems there is a lot of bullshit (factories, cows, etc…) upstream

So, if you have done this before, or are doing it now, forgive my ignorance as i’ve just joined your thread…

Dechlorinate your water. Not air out, dechlorinate. photosysnthesis plus makes an excellent chlorine/chloramine neutralizer. Nothing kills a good microbe like some disinfectant.

Like I said, if youve been down this road, bummer, but may be worth a second look.

And, yes, i am curious about the ppm of the water out of the tap. if you get bored just tell me, i wont be offended

i do have a bottle but ive used with and without and didnt see a difference

my ususal tap is around 7.4 50ppm

and youre all good my man or maybe i was using it for a bit then stopped so maybe if i declorinate i wont have these problems because ill have a healthy rrhyzo?

I dunno, but don’t put chlorine in your pots, they use a lot out there.

If this solves your issue, first born named after me should suffice.

Good luck, always ph, always dechlorinate, always runoff with nftg:+1::popcorn::skunk:

Will keep an eye out :eyes:

I was ready for a pic yesterday but i got side tracked moving everything around my grow is now in my old room safe from kitties I’ll snap one later but

It’s 1tsp per 10 gallons so it’s like .15 ml per gallon i put .2 for safe measure

This is my arsenal @Cartwright first pic is all my nectar stuff second is additives/pesticides/sunleaves line the last picture is the silica in sunleaves shit weirds me out looks like nasty hair gel

Almost out of mega Morpheus won’t be buying another one herc i got a gallon of cuz it’s herc and gaia because i was anticipating using more to combat my ph spikes

Excellent, I remember when I had the whole line. it really is so much fun to play with.

I’m down to the basic 6 for now, just for seed runs. When i do indoor flower, i love the tritons, kraken, and mega. Those nftg dudes make some cool stuff. They are pretty responsible, but I wish they would stop with the guano altogether, so much ecological damage involved with collecting it whether it is bat or seabird. jmho

Herc is what makes that line tick. I used it all ways, sparingly, to the dose, and way over doing it. Works all ways.

Are you using BK?

I am not using BK because I’m scared of it lol

I’m about to run these sweet island skunks base 4 with the addition of something to help bring out the skunk would that be tritions? Or their newer hog bone nute

Oh and probably kraken for stronger cell walls i can definitely tell the difference between kraken and no kraken

I took 4 cuttings of funky charms if they take I’ll be killing the mother off. And doing the same with the rest i have a feeling this problem went on too long that there’s greater damage to the root zone and may affect flowering I’m not entirely sure that’s true but something is telling me i should do this in the mean time I’m still trying to bring them back.

For nectar Buddahs maybe slapz and funky charms are getting Roman regime. I no longer want to run Roman only way to go from Roman to spartan is to take new cuttings and run them spartan

The other 4 orange push pop slapz and project 562 only ones worth saving are OPP and slapz if it is slapz

And funky charms i been wanting this strain for about a year now

Lol, me too most of the time. I have used it with success, but I’m not a yield guy, I just want as little shit affecting the taste of my worm poop buds👍

I like using it all too. But I will say, it is not all needed all of the time. Like I sed I’m down to the sample pack when my plants get hungry.

Short veg + worm poop = less nutes needed

Mixing is less fun the longer I do it. Just topped my pots with freshness:eyes::+1::skunk:

No bottles yet, let’s see how long I can go. Gonna need the goods at some point to make sure seeds are plump🍿
