Jim's ongoing OG journal

Right at week 4, keep an eye on these @globalhead . I’m going to pluck these off and keep going, but if I see any more I’m going to trash it

Bummer …it’s the closest one can find to King Louie. I’m sure the smoke will be good in spite of the herm inflorescence.
Right on time too …lucky it didn’t show later in flower.

I’m not going to mess with it if it shows anymore. I have 11 others in flower so it’s not a big deal to trash it. It’s right on the edge too so it won’t be difficult to remove

Update time! So far everything is going well, the biggest problems I’m having from increasing my plant count is managing all the clones, which is a problem that I didn’t plan for, and timing my second batch of seeds, which I kind of expected. I think I should’ve popped the Cap Junky x Chucky’s Bride, Chemdawg x Meat Breath, and NL2 a month earlier. Oh well, there’s worse problems to have lol

One of the Yogis turned out to be male. It just had an extra stipule that I mistook for a female preflower. This one is female for sure

I’m also starting the first landrace strain that I’ve had the chance to grow. So far 3 of 4 are coming up after only four days underground

Thanks man! I’m definitely enjoying moving out of a tent and having enough room to do these multiple runs

Whats the biggest change that you noticed going from tent to full room? Would you go back to tent?Besides the obvious room!

I had a pretty big change when I got out of the tents because that was also when I switched from HPS to LED. I feel like when I need to adjust temperature that it changes smoother and more gradually, I don’t know if that’s the extra space or the lighting type. Ceiling height was as big of an advantage as floor space. I also like doing most of the work on my feet instead of crouching over or crawling around

I would go back to a tent if I had to, but I think I would miss the work space as much as the plant count

Im preparing to use a room but stuck about best location ie; corner, middle of room along one wall. Just havent made the move as I would like it set and leave it.

Standing is a huge benefit I hate cramped locations.

I wish that I could remove the bed from my grow room!
But I gotta keep a space for the MIL or the occasional buddy passing through.

That has been my delimma. But I am making it into a murphy bed and that will give me the option to keep the bed but out of way when not needed.

Mine is in the master bedroom closet. Our bedroom is full of laundry baskets and we have multiple dressers since I’m taking up all the storage space lol. I’m glad my wife smokes as much as I do so I don’t hear many complaints

I’ve thought about the Murphy bed. But then I’d probably just throw up a tent way to close, and screw myself when it is needed.

As it stands, she’ll come visit one day, and have a two foot path four feet from the door to a twin with no frame!

Any special window film for light control?

I have 2" foam board. The purple stuff, or Pink Panther(pink stuff). The kind used on foundations. Not that white styrofoamy shit with one shiny side, that goes everywhere when you cut it!
It’s cut to the window size and I cut tapered edges so it can be counter sunk into the window frame.

I was about to do something like this with ducting from my exhaust and put some of those wicker blinds on the outside for stealth reasons. That was something I ended up not needing to do after switching to LED

Nice! That foamboard is useful for sure. Im looking at getting a y adapter for my bathroom exhaust and hooking up my blower to that. I tried the window exhaust but to me it creates more issues.

Yeah, the board is great. It’s still light proof five years later, last I checked.
I built a rope handle into it wth fender washers. So I can pull it out. Its in there tight, lol.

My room is essentially a lung too though.
Rarely do I flower photoperiod plants in there.

There’s a good article/build about stealth in here somewhere. Actually a wicker blind build too.
