Nice adventure. Looks like they logged the shit out of that area.

Nah, just a little logging… the area is massive. Logged areas are best for hunting around here though. New fresh growth for feed and good line of sight. :deer: :deer:

I love my trees.
Nothing like wheeling in a complete forest…although not many places left in BC that’s for sure.
It is good if it gives you a better hunting field though perhaps. :+1: :v:

Came across this Big Boy on a morning hunt. Roosevelt Elk. He’s absolutely massive! It’s not all about getting a deer. This right there makes a trip worth it.

More snow, rubs and stunning views. We are up really high. There isnt any snow down the mountain at home, but the snow line is getting closer.

Ugh so I noticed some clawing after a watering a few days ago. I decided to check my solutions PH. I had mixed a 50 gallon drum of feed. It showed wayyyy off. I was really surprised that it had increased to a ph of 7.8 from 6.5 in 3 days. No circulation, no aeration, covered, dark… so I adjusted and adjusted… and adjusted. Finally getting it down to 6.5ph. I filled my watering can and right as I was about to water I remembered I had an old liquid ph test kit. I checked ot and the colour came out a bright orange… checking out a ph of around 5.2! Yikes!! My ph meter was 1.3 off! Close call. I caught myself in time. I had some ph 7 distilled water I use in making moonshine and it confirmed that my pen was off. Wierd how it could go out of sync so bad within a week. This liquid kit, although not as accurate (also my water is slightly off colour, yellowy-brown) its totally workth having on hand, it sure saved my bacon this time. I’ve gotta pick up some ph 7 solution and calibration mix.

I have some strips I keep around to double check my meter if it reads whacked . Probably nute drift and swung the ph on you. Did your mixture gain or loose ppm also?

I long ago stopped using my tds meter, I just keep using the same mixes I’ve been using forever. I should grab some strips, theyre pretty easy.
