Jinglepot Showcasing the Mars Hydro FC-4800

The HPS room. Another round of tiedowns and under pruning. These girls are pretty damn haply. Contrary to the HPS lighting they are a killer deep green.

I have a lens to help with the HPS. it worked better with my 600w, but its no match for the 4000w room, lol.

Beautiful work Jingles! You have that light (and apparently nutes) dialed in pretty good. The rest is yet to come.

Another shameless photodump. loving it  gave the girls in the tent a good undercutting/lollypop. Pulled off a few burnt leaves and they are right as rain! Peroxide watering tomorrow #roothealth #marshydro

HPS room work. Watering, cleaning bending and snipping. It’s gonna be hard to last another month without flipping! I dialed my lights up from 75% to 100% and I’m hoping to put my new bulbs in around Dec 01 with a flip date for the HPS room amd Mars Hydro grow mid December, coinciding with @Indoornesian the solo cup grow!

Had a power outtage, so a lights off/headlamp photo session!

Everythings looking good, both Mars LED and HPS are neck and neck. One thing I know, is my hps take a lot more power and the bulbs need changing often and are expensive. They also run much hotter than my LED. One thirsty girl int the back corner… she’s already perked up

And the hps plants. It’s a JUNGLE in there

Looking good , you need a sign on the fence possibly could bite !
So no real difference to be seen between the 2 lights ?

Actually the branch strength of the LED plants is 100x stonger than the HPS. That’s huge. I expect that to carry positives over to the flowing stage. Also I’ve only been running my LED (mostly) at 65% with is WAY less power consumption than my 1000W hps lights

Beautiful grows, Jinglepot, I am really enjoying the compare and contrast between LED’s and HPS: These results are gold.

Thanks! It’s been really fun doing the comparisons. There are definate differences, but neither have hindered the vegetative stage of this grow! I’m stoked for the flip to flower!

I don’t think you will see a huge difference in led vs hps. Where the biggest difference is, is in the heat produced by hps. And also you notice a huge difference when your electric bill comes in.

That’s what I’m hoping, I didn’t expect the LED to out perform the HPS. I was just hoping it wasn’t a drastic underperformance. I have not been let down, they are neck and neck. I’ll even be able to run a tent in the summer with this LED. That’s a hard no go with my HPS due to the heat and summer temps

The leds seem to strengthen the stems more than the hps. Another positive that has been reported also.

100% stonger stems under the leds! I’m gonna take the training net down when I flip them

The much wider light spectrum should also bring out some more terpense, but you would only know if its a strain you are very familiar with. Seems like that is the case for you with the GC, so keep that in mind once we are in flower.

I second that. First thing I noticed was more complex smells on most strains grown under led that were grown under hps before. Sour lemon haze I harvested has shown that to my friend who’s a little slow in terms of changing stuff. He’s hooked now and has like three leds more.

I told him that his power bill next year will be way lower than this year’s.

When I first started growing indoors a friend tried to tell me that HPS was the way to go. He said I would never get shit from those LEDs. Glad I didn’t listen to him.

That was me before. I’m reformed now! Haha. I am very thankful @MarsHydro gave me this opportunity to try out this light and share my journey and success with everyone!

Ugh, we had a close call! Power was out while I was away and my water system didnt work. Thankfully these are super hardy plants, not prone to herm.

And this is what they look like now, 24 hours after a good soak.

There are a few crispy leaves, but all in all they are alright. I can believe how quick and well they recovered! Phew!

Gotta show the good, bad and the ugly
