That 100% at 20" from the canopy is fairly standard. I find I can run them a lot closer than that. Say 10" or even less at 100%. It will get more light deeper into the canopy too. Try it. If you see anything bad after a day or so you can always put it back.
As a for instance. I have my FC 4800 set at 100%. And the light kit is as high in the tent as I can go. My Sheelavathi plant is about two inches from the light with no burn. And that’s after me bending them over. I misjudged how much stretch. But anyways. My point is you need not worry as much about height from the canopy with those LEDs
Well then! She’s gonna limbo today! Ill drop her right down! Thanks @BigMike55 I’m still figuring this LED out, my hps would be close to burning the plants at 20" in a tent
So I went and moved it down and while fooling around in there I took some trichome shots… jeezuz! These plants are like 2 weeks ahead of my HPS. They are all the same Clones, same feed, same light schedule… these buds have firmed right up and trichomes are turning amber! There are hardly any cloudy trichomes in my HPS room!
All things being equal, ive got to think the light spectrum has matured the plant sooner than the hps. Heat could be a factor too… the hps plants have heat from the light radiating from above, there is almost no heat coming off the LED they are heated from an space heater on the floor… ine thing is for sure, I need to do some research now
I took a fefew more trichtrichome shots of some mid to lower buds and decided we can let her go a little longer, I will be monitoring them daily now though.
