My neighbor half a KM away says he can smell it every morning 
it IS hard to not chop! But patience. My hps room is finally getting some hairs turning redā¦ a few amber trichs, but mostly clear/some cloudy still

Iām sure mine can also be smelt week 8 Iām thinking there at . Couple more weeks that cold weather really slowed mine down 58f at lights out for at least 2 weeks.

Yeah, Iām getting down to 60f at night, making some colours pop and increasing trichs! Iāve started pulling iff all the fan leaves, ill do about 45 mins a day of pulling leavesā¦ the ones I can reach at least. I got what Iām calling a control plant thatās in the back that I just canāt get to so it will be unstripped of fan leaves, ill do a little comparison

Bet you that plant will be the better tasting plant . Buds might not be as big but I bet there will be a difference.

Iāve only done it once so far. One plant, took 4hours, watched trailer park boys episodes while trimming & I loved every minute of it. Guess it gets tedious when itās 8 or more plants

Iām in the middle of a star trek marathon, so Iāll have plenty of material to watch, I have a TV out in the shop, itās a pretty good set up, and Iām too cheap to buy a trimmer when I have decent enough joints in my hands to do it myselfā¦ lol, Iām still gonna whine about it though
Iāve got a friend thatāll help, sheās a good trim partner

I just watched DS9, im on s06e15 of voyager right now, ill watch tng afterā¦ I had just watched Babylon 5 and it inspired me to watch ds9 again

In your honest opinion, do you notice a difference in the quality using a trimmer? Iāve read that it knocks off a lot of trichesā¦but Iāve never used one myself. It sure would help with the outdoor harvest.

I love the look of machine trimmed weed, and its always gotten me stoned. Iāve never in my life been like āoh this machine trimmed weed isnāt getting me as stoned as it shouldā

Depends a lot on how the trimmer is adjusted and the quality of the trimmer to start.
I donāt think it degrades the bud quality that much if handled properly. Iāve run 2 different models and both have done decent jobs at keeping the crystal intact .
Over dried weed doesnāt trim as nice and more chance of knocking off trichomes vs say 65% humidity buds.
Wet trimmed also isnāt susceptible to damage from a trimmer.

So what type of trimmer are you and @Jinglepot using? Is it a hand crank or one of those āIāll never be able to afford thatā kind?

I started with a crank bowl trimmer and went to trim pro t 4 electric sold it and bought this one used from a govt run grow op that went broke.
