I believe it is…
@BigMike55 it is poly batting for quilts. I get it at Hobby Lobby.
My wife makes quilts. Really nice ones. We have poly batting scraps. Lots.
Are you using it much like a cover crop? To keep bugs out? Water in?
@BigMike55 Yes water in, and yes bugs out.
I might hafta try that. Do you just water straight thru that, or lift it to water? I like it. It looks clean. If it works, that would be a plus.
@BigMike55 Water straight through.
I am right there with ya!
I strongly dislike Fungus Gnats
@BigMike55 I stil sprinkle mosquito bits on the soil surface to help control gnats. When I apply sprays of azamax/spinosad/bt/gff every few weeks to mothers, I saturate the batting so some soaks through to the soil underneath.
Never a mold issue??
@BigMike55 I havent had any mold issue. They will go longer between waterings if you use the cover. When I look under the cover, sometimes there’s obvious evidence of some microbiological activity in the soil. I haven’t noticed it to be detrimental.
@Tracker , the man with the answers. He’s the one to ask for me, it works. The moisture retention, even in coco, allows an extra day between watering.
So in their last pic my Ice Pie girls were feeling neglected but ok. Tonight they are looking much better.
And they lost another hour of light today.
The Littles tent is doing nicely, my GGxGDP (the 2 biggest) are still recovering from their battle scars but are bouncing back, Pink Maui Ninja is just beasting in the back corner. 2 Loud Love in front of them. 2 Blueberry Diesels in the center back with another in the tray adjacent to them with a Gojigum
Then is the special attention bin. My entries for @Indoornesian 's Solo cup challenge 2 Goji OG and 1 Bloodcake auto, and the 2 bigger ones are my (as I’m presently calling them) IPX? All are new genetics to me so 0 expectations
And I just started 4 more strains, Peanut Butter Breath, Motherload Kush(dude, I know you’ll read this, she was a casualty of the battle of the bug I’m sorry I couldn’t save her[you gave me some seeds of her so I’m hoping she comes back around] everyone i gave cuts to killed them also), London Pound Cake @Maddawg and just got in, “Sweet and Sour Cindy”. 3 of each soaking tonight and we’ll check them out tomorrow!
I just gave the last of my MLK4 flower to a friend that will make hash with it. I haven’t had the cut for a while now. I passed it around, and a few friends tried it out. If it were worthy, it would have been held by someone…like the IP. The people who’ve tried that IP cut wanted to keep it around for a few crops at least. So…oh well…it’s the way it goes.
The MLK4x(Z3x(WCxBM)) pheno I kept smokes very nice. If you like lemon/pine aroma/flavor and a wacky, forgetful to the head effect, then it’s for you. If you pop some beans, you might get something special. I’m sure there’s a lot of variation in these phenos. I sampled 2 different phenos that a friend kept out of these beans, and the flavors/aromas were nice fruity/floral/citrus with a blend of strong head/body effects. If you want snips from the one in my garden, just say the word.
I kept cuts of everything going until I smoke test. I might keep a few selections going through the winter.
I might have to see if I can get an IP cut back from you at some point in the future, if you’ve still got it around.
Oh she’s going to stay for quite some time.
He he, I did it again.
Don’t know if you can read them or not but there are 3 Motherload Kush, 3 Peanut Butter Breath, 2 London Pound Cake, 1 GSCxBC fem auto, and the ones I’m really excited about, 3 Sweet & Sour Cindy. All of them popped and have tails except for the auto, she was a last minute add because one of the LPK didn’t pop.
This is were I would say, “Oops I tripped”.
and …
It’s not as bad as the time before last, that was 11 strains. the 2 ggxgdp were from that round as was my Hellfire OG that is about 4 weeks into flower.
I couldn’t resist…
