Update for day 28 after germination. Yep, they’re into the bud cycle alright, and looking good to go!
The waiting game is almost over folks!

Now to the seeds of Auto Xtreme from @Chronickyle… in less than 48 hours these 10 yr old seeds are almost all into the dirt already! There were 48 ready to pot this morning, and the other 12 are coming, just bit slower.
Talk about quality genetics and proper seed storage from @Chronickyle!! With the undeniable seed sprouting techniques of the man, no I apologize, the LEGEND! @JohnnyPotseed aka the creator of Frankenstein!
That is awesome!
Thank you sir, for those kind words!
Wholly Carp @JohnnyPotseed I am still blown away at how your casting popping turn around so freaking fast!
To me, in my humble opinion only, mind ya…it’s the ONLY way to germinate! Thank you for the interest, and kind words cuz
edit… I don’t know if you can pull up the meta-data on the pics but you can see (if you do) the seeds are less than 48hrs old, before going into dirt…
I’m gonna do this with my winter run with beans crafted by OGer’s! I’m still looking around for a seed widger OR something as close to it before I end up making one
If you look close at the pic of the tray, you can see the bottom ribs showing in a corner…like I said only about 1/4" of the castings are needed. and no ‘standing water’… put in as much as it takes to soak everything real good, then sop up excess with a shop towel or whatever you use, leaving the castings as moist as possible, without any water standing…
edit… Good Luck in your attempt!
Thnx for the likes @Badger , my old friend!! Good to see you’re hanging around too! lol
Do you do all this IN the tray? Misting water onto the castings to saturate?
I love the outa this bruv!
I actually pour (gently trickle) water back and forth until saturated well and some standing occurs. Then I spread it around by hand to make sure all is good n soaked…then I sop up any standing water with a shop towel.
edit… Then I drop the seeds into the tray, cover with dark towels and wait!
Also, I don’t let the heat mat sit directly under the tray. I put a thermal pad over it, and a towel over that then the tray and humidity dome.
I was going to ask about covering! ace! What of temperature? Heat matts? (yes my OCD is showing),
Fucking psychic! " Also, I don’t let the heat mat sit directly under the tray. I put a thermal pad over it, and a towel over that then the tray and humidity dome."
I answered while you were typing, I think lol
You typed that as I edited my typing to reflect!
They don’t get much more OCD than me when it comes to my germination of the wondrous beans!
I gotta say this about that, lol. I’ve had fresh seeds actually be ready for the dirt, in some instances, less than 24 hrs or right at it. But, that doesn’t happen often…
edit… 48hrs or just under is my usual.
Ok, break is over…it’s off to work I go, Hi Ho!.. Shades of the 7 Dwarfs!
Man, I do like catching up on your stuff. I wanna be just like you when I grow up!
One cool thing about OG is they strip ALL metadata out of pics, for security reasons.
Didn’t know that… o f w I guess that makes sense, but in these days of it’s being legal most everywhere… not to mention, I sure as hell wouldn’t be posting so freely if I wasn’t ‘legit as it git’!!
