Johnnypotseed’s 3-ring circus - with autos, photos & sex…reversals, that is! (Part 1)

Now we’re onto the outdoor patch I’ve got growing… In the Green Head Band…5 boys were found, out of the 45 regular photoperiods that Mark sells as his ‘Autos’…they’re not lol He will tell you himself they need to be ‘triggered’ into flipping to bud cycle by changing the lighting to 12/12. There are 3-4 that’ve started to budding, but I’m pretty sure that’s just due to their being cloned and raised in 24 hour lighting, when moved out into the actual sunlight, which sun-ip to sundown is only just under 14 hours of ‘useful’ lighting. This is close enough to the 12/12 they just went with it lol

the rest are looking like they’re supposed to lol

there seems to be a few bugs munching on some leaves here and there, but not enough to be considered a problem…yet! lol I’m gonna hit em with some neem oil today or tomorrow, should take care of any I didn’t see (read kill) when out there this morning. But being outdoors, that’s to be expected. :sunglasses: :+1:

You can see a bit of damage on the 3rd pic, not much just enough to let me know I need to spray some neem oil lol

I got many “buckshot” leaves this year, and sudden yellowing with many of my plants outdoors (cannabis and other). I just defoliated the girls and removed all green matter around their pots to increase airflow and reduce the insects access as i’ve never seen so many leaf hoppers in my life here before!

The plants seem much happier for the attention.

while you’re here, @Pigeonman

I’ve been talking to some of the Elders of the local tribes around here. They already have everything setup to grow the ceremonial tobacco. So, I’m just giving the seeds to them to grow out and they’ll give us some of it when harvested next year. I thought that would be better since I’d have to make a place for it, and they already have the place!

Nothing like the great outdoors :grinning: it’s where I’m really in my element.

Is it just me or a couple of them outdoor girls look like they training themselves? Looking real nice.

Naw, I had em pretty much ‘trained’ when they went out. They were originally going to be just another batch of indoor grown.

they’d vegged for awhile when I put them out

Hey let me ask you in here instead of the chat thread. You water it in only? The grow shop guy said it works better as a foliar than in the root zone which surprised me. Said the leaves look happy and go nuts pretty fast. He also said part of why it helped those palm trees is because it gives excellent heat and UV protection as a folair.

Both cuz both… do on alternate days

As to that last statement …
Don’t believe it! Wait till just before lights out and do it. Otherwise you’ll find burnt leaves! It’s the water it’s mixed with. Magnifying glass for the light.

That makes sense. I wouldn’t water my lawn in the middle of the day so same thing

I look forward to that day for you :slightly_smiling_face: don’t get me wrong, I love indoor, but there’s nothing like seeing a plant growing naturally under the big grow light in the sky!

Plus it’s like a million times cheaper :joy:

Yes my friend, and it goes beyond that too!! It can only be the best way for us to get in touch with our own original origin, pun intended! Nature makes us just like it creates this amazing plant we all love! (at least here!) thanks for saying it!!
