DAY 62
Ok decided stop being lazy and chopped the hella jelly 8 plants total and put the 5 vanilla cream pie in my 3x3 to finish for another 10 days mine as well take them to completion
The temp should drop to around 62 after driver cools off hopefully

they just seemed to disappear after the couple treatments. there was still some walking around cpl days later and then just vanished … it was weird
thanks a lot not the biggest yielders but better than i thought i like the hella jelly structure and smell i really hope it is killer as i kept some foilage in hopes to reveg. i bet with a good month veg or until around 2 feet they would make nice 4 foot plants

dumb mistake by me but when i moved the timer into the 3x3 tent i pushed a buncha pins in and was getting like 15 hrs lights on maybe more… lucky no reveg or problems but just to be sure i turned all lights off and will give them 48 hrs dark and then chop down wants to go 70-75 but 68 will have to do.
Hella jelly been dtying 7 days around 63f 60humidity another 3-5 days and ill put into grove bags and burp as needed till they get to 62 %
Took down vcp today also so will be 10 or so days for them to dry
Ok 10 days at around 62/60 i de branched all the hella jelly and got around 230 grams not as good as i thought but not like they were huge plants i could have grown them triple the size if i knew how much they dont stretch.
Still need to trim the leafs off so i figure ill end up with like 3/4 oz of top notch buds and the rest will go to edibles
First time using a grove bag went in at 60% we will see what it says tomorrow
After 25 hrs in grove bags humidity seems to have dropped to 58%. Is thus normal i thought it was supposed to hold w/e humidity you put material in?
So total for hella jelly 4 zips of good bud and 4 zips of trim and smaller buds. Strain smells amazing nice appeal just wish it grew bigger buds if i ran it again i would veg twice the size or more since it doesn’t stretch much

Vcp was still a little moist after 9 days so i dropped the humidity to 58-% that shld crisp up the outer leaves for an easier trim with a brush hopefully
As much as this pheno smells of lemon pez candy i didnt keep any to try and reveg. Too leafy to trim dry prob alot easy to wet trim this one… terps are great lemon pez candy and kush I thinknthis is an emerald fire og leaner from the sfv og side
Did 60 grams today hopefully there is another 52 but looks more like 30 max only 2 of the 5 plants got nice size

ok so final results i got 4 oz of Hella jelly and 3.5 oz of Vanilla cream pie (13 plants flipped small ) under 300 watts in 3x5 area i am really happy i kept a hella jelly plant to reveg because wow what a tastyand amazing smelling strain every one loves it an i know i can do way better after looking at the rootballs or lack there of. can prob veg it another 3 weeks and use more dry backs. also get rid of mites lol. (lets hope reveg takes)
as for the vanilla cream pie this pheno was nothing vanilla pure lemon pez and gassy musk. these were a little finicky and require more food and care. the roots were only well built on 2 plants and it showed in quality and yeild. i wish i had another shot at this pheno but shes gone. great tasting smoke and has legs. she will be missed. but we can only keep so many

I’m really glad that you got some mileage out of those strains! Everything you’re saying tracks; Hella Jelly in my experience is a really practical plant, relatively quick flower, limited stretch, tasty, smaller nugs but I’ve had good yields with the caveat that I grow outdoors primarily.
With the VCP I’m not surprised it came out more lemon/gas/musk, despite the name, because one of the parents is a Fire OG Bx2 and the other is “Ghost of Von Humboldt OG”, which as near as I can tell is some Ghost OG cross they’re using internally. It feels like they bury the lede there a little bit with how they describe the strain when it’s really an OG strain, but also explains the terps and the legs on the smoke.
I hope the Orange Cream Pop shows out for you, it is a Hella Jelly x Creamsicle cross so if folks liked the Hella Jelly this should be right up their alley.
I received those seeds from Halle Penn in summer 2023 just before they released the stabilized commercial seeds, so they shouldn’t be all over the place like a normal batch of tester seeds, but I don’t know whether they’ve been drilled down to the Bx3 level like the commercial ones. Either way, I liked what I got out of them last year enough that I’ve got another one in the ground this year!
It looks like you had a great grow, I’m thrilled to see that you had some results and eager to see how the next one goes!

was a pleasure bud thanks for sharing! i kinda wish i cloned a buncha hella jelly to run again but twice the size all the testers are asking for some im usually generous and give a bunch away but this ones so tasty loll

so i will scrog her in a 5x5 and then run 15 of these 17 i took off her in my 3.5x5 room the other two will be new momsFun times
