Just bought the HLG Blackbird

Blackbird is tits, going into my third run in a 4x4 with it.

That being said, the Tomahawk bar style probably has better light distribution than the panel style, and I will probably get their next version of it in a couple years, or a Migro.

As for UV and IR, LED’s that produce the spectrum of IR/UV plants use are almost non existent last I checked. I’m sure people get something from them, but I’m waiting for better science before I dick around with them.

Those look pretty good! I’ll have to spend some time checking them out later tonight. Which one are you running?

@Tolerance_Break ty for the input, do you ever get to blast it at 100% during flower? or stay dimmed the whole time?

It’s awesome. I’m not going to fanboy out on you, but awesome.

Wicked spread super efficient nice on the eyes good productive zone…I’d buy it again if I needed a light tomorrow.

I keep going back and forth between that and another hlg. Too many decisions.

I have one complaint, and it’s a stupid complaint. The light is too even. The spread is too good. Before if I had a slightly taller plant I’d just stick it in the corner for lower light intensity but now I can’t do that.

I’d encourage you to do your own research but I really like mine.

People do seem to like them that’s for sure.

I run flood and drain on a table, so the bottom 3 feet of the tent is occupied, which keeps my plants close enough to the light I never run her 100%.

I was considering getting 3 of the 2x2 for my closet…but the hit to the wallet said no. Waiting to see some black friday or boxing day sales.

For the cost of some panda film, 2x4, and fasteners, you can have a much better set up at a fraction of the cost.
