Have you implemented yet? Keep an eye on your sump temp just in case.
My sump “quality” (I.e. ph stability, bacterial blooms, etc) improved a ton when I moved to an external pump, fwiw.

Yea it’s been running the whole time. It’s on a cold basement floor.
Thank you very much @JustANobody but in my case the cuttings cannot cross the border.
And if you want seeds from the Bodhi cross that I am making I would be happy to give you some and see you grow some .
See you

had a lot to catch up on in your thread.
i see you went full darkside with the coco. my only question is now that you have harvested, dried and cured some plants grown in coco, do you feel there are any differences in the finished product with coco over soil?
same with the synth nutes over organics. do you notice any differences in flavors, smoothness, potency etc?
Mother of Berries is the only plant if ran in both so far and no complaints here.
I’ll be curious about the blockberry next run and once I harvest the AJ’s and Sowah Pebbles from this run. (next 1.5-3 weeks).
The growth and size of the plants for the amount of medium is wild I’ve never gotten plants this big in 7 gal of soil.
yeah, i can certainly see the size (of plants) differences between your soil growth and the coco. and the speed they get there as well.
i have 7gal pots outside. i let them go this year after initial topping and LST. they are absolute monsters. biggest i have ever grown. (i’m happy but also dreading the trimming )
you don’t run the 7gals inside do you? your coco pots seem pretty small.
I used to run 7 gal pots of organic soil for flower. Now I use 2 gal of coco. I am debating trying a single coco plant in a 5x5 with a 5-7 gal pot
don’t debate, do.
that sounds like a cool experiment.
plant something squat, bushy and indica. fill all avail space with the nets.
that would be fun to watch.
If my Veg tent wasn’t as packed as it is maybe I would. One day when I build some rooms out maybe I’ll do it.
Less coco the easier it is to keep it clean, but I was thinking the same thing if I use a five gallon pot I usually don’t fill it with roots. I think that land race filled the five gallon, but most plants the 5 gallon is overkill. We’ll see the roots when I chop that one. I think better to feed more often and use less coco, but if you want a ten foot plant in coco that would be interesting
i will be ready for that day.
but yeah. you’re still tweaking your automation (which is interesting to watch as well)
i have always had thoughts about that but always read about the evils of automation in soil grows. i still want to give it a go. lol.
i have all the tubing and stuff to experiment with my outdoor gardens… learn some lessons etc. but that will be next year. just built the raised beds this year (success) so that proof of concept is completed satisfactorily.
Blumats for indoor soil is the way imo.
i have seen you say that before.
i was half watching a video by mr.growit about blumats the other day. i was curious, but had to get up and do something else so never finished.
blumats and octopots come up a lot around here.
i’m still hand watering caveman stlye. it gets a bit time consuming with 4 zones across the house.
i doubt i have the space for that type of system. i don’t even have space for a tent. we’re crammed in here in the halls of valhalla.
all just practice for the retirement land… eyes on the prize.
The blockberry breeder cut is a beast. I’m taking some snips for trades. I hope people enjoy her she’s awesome. She is currently in a half gallon of coco.
Just a heads up, headiegardens.com has my Mango Hashplant OP and crosses as freebies and they are being sent out now. Every purchase gets a pack of Mango Hashplant F2 OP, larger orders also get a cross pack. If he runs out I will be sending him more.
That’s awesome man. Congrats! Hope it does well!
It’s free giveaways so just another way to get the seeds out to growers Shoe is a solid dude.
I haven’t dealt with him directly, but I hear good things.
That is super cool, I saw a pack of those in a picture on the seed purchased thread and was wondering. Nice, I hope lots of folks grow them out.
