Due to quality workmanship on the home I’ll be delaying this for another day.

This will be put off until I can just build rooms.

In all my excitement I never checked the firmware version for my printers board… As a professional this is unacceptable, time to update

Firmware has been updated. Now I’m going to try leveling the bed, unfortunately the knobs are too big to clear the case but the springs should work. Because opposite ends are tilted in opposite directions I’m going to swap the hardware and see how that works.

Welp, that failed already.

Oh man naw that’s closer to their recco for two of them unfortunately. I imagine that as usual Samsung numbers are conservative and not accounting for advanced heatsinking. If you’re using one of their Slate 2 heatsinks with a fan blowing across it I would imagine you can overclock that a bit, but the diodes are really closely spaced compared to a QB288 so they don’t have the thermal capacity overall for running too hard and I’d think about airflow over the diodes themselves too. I think that was their concept was more diodes less red than the R-Spec to make a more efficient board run soft, but it’s not as powerful as it looks.

That’s really interesting, just going to have to suck it up and use a different light or buy one.

OK so got the 3d printer in a cabinet, made a quick and dirty multi spool holder, got everything leveled on the printer and octoprint. Time to print some mods. I have led lights coming, I’ll probably buy a nice heavy duty power strip, might modify the spool holder and clean up the wiring if this works.

In the cabinet helped the bed level too. So that’s nice.

Veg tent has been looking a little sad lately so I figured it was probably my crappy watering habits. Let them sit in a tray of water for 30 min yesterday and they are looking much improved already.

Lol this post is way funnier after the turds ban for having a sock account to take advantage of people.

Went for a walk after dark looking for eyes in the woods and ended up harvesting a ton of merigold and Indian summer seeds. Thanks for the tip @Tonygreen.

Hit the Veg tent with some Dr Earth and watered it in, plants are looking great since the bottom feeding.

Woke up to a huge well on the 3d printer. Apparently the filament got jammed up at some point causing the print head to skip and offset the print. So I’ve made a couple changes. If this doesn’t work I’ll completely rethink the filament rack.

What do you think caused it? Are the upper filaments maybe dragging on the lowers? If so I see a quick mod that may help … :+1::+1::v:

No the filaments aren’t dragging on one another, thankfully my eye balling was good enough to prevent that. I think I did a crappy job running the filaments neatly and that coupled with the drawer over the cabinet it just got caught and the print head didn’t have the torque to over come the snag before the skip. If the current print doesnt work I’ll screw the stock spool holder to a stud on the back wall of the cabinet and hang a spool on that.
