I have that same thing! I don’t use it because the bristles are like a brush. Seems like it would work very well cleaning scissors, but if you like taking a razor and collecting scissor hash, then it’s no good.
Your hands cramp up from closing the scissors. And you usually have them 90% closed most of the time. These orange ones take no effort to close, and since they have finger loops, they open when you open your hand. Once you get them and use them, you’ll notice how hard your fiskars are to close.
Man, so I just got around to pressing the hash I washed from the Pure Kush x Uzbek that I grew outside this year, and holy fuck, this is by far the nicest hash I’ve pulled to date. Gotta apologize to everyone who sees these photos in multiple spots, I’m a proud papa when it comes to this temple ball! Beautiful caramel color and I’m glad to say none of the gross sour dirt terps that the flower had. Put this up to age but it’s gonna be tough not to sample it early!! Gonna try to save this one for a special occasion.
I was kind of blown away while I was pressing and rolling it, it was super matte the whole time and perfectly round and after I rolled it it just like seeped into that pancake shape and got that beautiful shine to it, literally never gotten a temple ball with that golden caramel color before, it’s mouth watering haha
Already got multiple pairs, I didn’t realize that the Amazon listing had that “help me decide…” line when you share the link silly Amazon, I already decided, but now that I think of it, maybe i should consider a third pair
A little Thursday morning update here. Filled the reservoirs on both earthboxes today, planning to flip them either tomorrow or Saturday depending on how they respond. I took some time to inspect what we got here and so far I think I spot 3 confirmed females: #2,3 and 4. #1 as best I can tell looks like a male, still a little early to confirm, but I’ve got s hunch that we have a seed run on our hands here. In the event that #1 is in fact a boy, I’m going to employ some of @Budderton tech by stripping him down to a single cola to make the pollen amounts a little more manageable. Uncertain right now if I’ll try bagging him and collecting pollen to apply by hand or if I’ll just keeping him sheared back to a single meristem and allow that to just do it’s thing in the tent, I think I’m leaning towards the former being that I’ve got plants ready to go once these are done flowering and I won’t want to do a gnarly pollen-level cleanup, but we’ll see how lazy I’m feeling when the time comes. I’ve got the HLG 350R turned to maybe about halfway. Photone app is reading right around like 3-400 PPFD, and the plants are loving it almost as much as I am, very happy with this light so far and I can’t wait to see what it does at full blast when these things are really rocking. Some quick snaps below for your viewing pleasure. One good thing to be said about the EVs I guess is that they’re too unwieldy to pull out and have a proper photoshoot, so snapping pics is a quicker affair than it is with smaller containers
Looks pretty cool, my first time encountering it, anybody else? This is the only potential male in the bunch right now so I’m wondering if this trait is a good or bad thing to use in terms of a breeder? I’ve read that most plants grow out of it at some point l’m curious to hear what others think or have experienced on that
Yea that’s been mostly what I’ve found trying to research it. Surprisingly no comments on whether or not it’s a desirable trait in either a male or a female in terms of breeding. Seems like almost any trait a plant can express people have strong opinions s in as it relates to breeding except for this one 🤷🏻
Mine came yesterday. I noticed on the back of the package there is an option to purchase a holster for this thing. I just don’t think I could rock one of those. Maybe two across my chest like a Mexican Bandito
So, in totally unrelated news, some of you (like @BeagleZ and @VAhomegrown) who are on the Headie Gardens discord might remember that I sort of accidentally won a clone auction a while back from Farmerjoe420 for a cut of the MOB: Mother Of Berries or Maines Original Blueberry. Those guys had to hit me up here on OG to actually inform me I won the thing. Them Virginia boys is good people . I haven’t really mentioned anything about it, frankly because the shipping and receiving portion was a bit of a fiasco on my end (Farmerjoe420 was excellent, quick, responsive, no shade whatsoever.) Basically the cut spent the night on the front porch in sub freezing temps. Our UPS/FedEx delivers wicked late and is often unreliable on timing as compared to the tracking service announcements. We live on a gnarly hill and in the winter those guys sometimes won’t show up for days, or they’ll show up randomly at like 12 at night, which is what happened in this case. I compounded the issues by immediately transplanting her and sticking her in a warm 2x2 in quarantine. Needless to say she freaked the fuck out, and I was pretty certain I killed the very first cut I paid for and took in. I didn’t throw in the towel though and stayed on top of just nursing her along, and I’m happy to say after like a month or so she is finally starting to throw green growth and look like she’s pulling out of the fuckery I put her through. She’s got a ways to go still before I could take and root new cuts etc. and I haven’t even begun the quarantine/IPM process to be able to bring her downstairs to join the veg tent because of the rough shape she’s been in, but I’m really proud that I was able to pull her out of that tailspin and save her life. I’m also, after reading reviews of the strain, very excited to try out the flower when the time comes. Until then though I’m finally in a place where I’m willing to show off a photo of this ol gal. Keep in mind she’s been through hell and back and hopefully better days are on the horizon:
Mind is already running around about some outcrosses I could make of the flower smokes like everyone says it does, beautiful blueberry terps and a nice relaxing anti anxiety high. I will most surely start a thread and report on my findings when the time comes.
