Keeper Strains?

It sure is! Very scary. I find it extremely interesting that many major cannabis regions on Earth have industrial hemp farming being pushed upon them. Colombia, India, South Africa and Thailand to name a few. Home growing will always take a larger piece of the pie than corporate is willing to accept. They will try to figure out a way to get this piece of pie.

What do you have those rooting in if you donā€™t mind asking?

Clean tap water in a north facing light. Not always successful.

I think he meant the sponges? If thatā€™s what they are.

Yeah, was about to say the same. Look like shamwow pads, which is a good idea I feel like

I had a conversation with some local grower friends and the question came up: If you could only keep 3 strains to run the rest of your life, what would they be? I found this thread when looking to see if that has been asked beforeā€¦

I know for sure I would keep my Karma x Rez Sour Diesel.
Orange Goji makes the list too even though itā€™s not currently in my tents (Iā€™ve got plenty of seeds though!).
Iā€™m tempted to say CannaCheese for my third even though it is an auto. I reach for this one whenever I have aches and pains as it is truly medicinal. The 1:1 ratio provides the CBD my body needs while the THC uplifts the mind.

What are your keepers?

Howā€™s the Karma x Res Sour work out for you ?
Is it old school or something, NYCD ?
I donā€™t remember exactly how I obtained these but they are close to some coco.

I received them from a run that was organized here a while back. OleReynard grew them out. We didnā€™t receive a large number of seeds but they were separated into two flips: Karma x Rez and Rez x Karma.

It is a combination of Rezā€™s Sour Diesel and KARMAā€™s Sowahh (Karma Sour D 2007 x Karma Sour D Bx3). It has a fantastic stench of rot and fuel that I canā€™t get enough of. If it isnā€™t the most potent strain Iā€™ve ever grown, then itā€™s the second (Bruce Banner is the other and Iā€™ve got two of those just starting in veg which might make me alter my list of keepers!).

It grows super fast and was always the tallest plant in the garden until I planted Bodhiā€™s Spirit Train. Iā€™ve only harvested one and that was at 75 days. Despite being incredibly pleased with the flower I donā€™t think I grew it well - the plant was completely spent and limped to the finish. Iā€™ve got two more in flower now at day 65F that Iā€™m thinking are perky enough to make it to 12 weeks.

Dn that sounds great! I liked sour d. One of the only modern smokes i really enjoyed. Last time I was around sour d plants was in a 100ā€™ by 30ā€™ greenhouse loaded with the most beautiful ripe buds Iā€™ve ever seen. I never got to smoke anyšŸ˜”

I just cleaned house of the mothers I had been keeping figuring there is just too much for a newer grower like myself to try in the tents. Had a Dark Hollow (Irie genetics) and a chem 91 bx1 (claimed to be a bx from skunkVaā€™s clone only).

The dark hollow (GMO X Arise) absolutely reeked. Like roast beef dinner and greasy rubber tires combined with a tiny hint of lemon on the exhale.

I had no real experience with the true Chem91 cut so not sure how true to form it was but the pheno I pulled was loud and had large rock hard nugs.

Decided to do my first seed run with the dark hollow and a male chem91 I pulled out and have just got some of those testers popped in the last two days to see if the project was worthwhile. Looking forward to the results either way, proud plant dad lol.

Sweet! Nice work throughout.
I was in that group and was hoping that you had some feedback on either. Iā€™m on some kind of Sour hunt. Looking for a needle in a haystack.

Sowahh BX4 x Sour Diesel IBL
Sowahh BX4 x NYD/Sour Diesel IBL

Have a killer Black Triangle from Bodhi that Iā€™ve had for over 2 years.
Killer full body stone, beer can nugs, easy to trim, strong OG kush/earth taste and smells extra dank.

Also have an Apollo13 from Bros Grimm that Iā€™ve kept for over 4 years.
Top notch party weed, pretty, easy to trim and finishes in less than 55 days.
Almost culled it because it didnt yield but the smoke is too good.

Currently testing Lemon Royale from SwampBoys and Top Dawg Sour Diesel Bx3.
Keep on hunting.

My dadā€™s been keeping a pheno of Peanut Butter Breath for about 2 years. Heā€™s working on a bonsai so we can hopefully keep it ā€œindefinitelyā€. OGKB-leaner that has a low yield, but EXCEPTIONAL quality.

I donā€™t know why but those plants that produce little are usually tasty and hit hardā€¦ Beautiful plant and cool dad, take care of both, your dad and his plant. :ok_hand:
