I don’t add anything to my coco coir and I’ve never had an issue before. It’s just this tent. The other 2 tents are in coco coir no perilite and look amazing. I was getting ahead of myself 2 weeks ago and watering the plants with any extra water I had leftover but that was 2-3 times and I realized that probably wasn’t the best idea as they weren’t fully ready. No telling what plants I did it to but if that’s the case then should I just let then dry out fully to where the top soil is completely dry? Usually im watering when the 1 gals are light by lifting or when the top soil is visibly dry. I can give it a try and just push the girls an extra day when I think they need watering because worst case scenario I’ll just need 2 branches to reset a mother. I’m open to suggestions and willing to try just about anything at this point because I’m getting frustrated seeing my ladies not happy
My.plants do that when it’s too hot
@KETAMINE_GRENADE what tempdo you keep your tent at and what temp do they show signs like this? I can’t imagine this tent going over 80 degrees hooked up to the controller with a +/- 4 degree differential
Mines all over the place but when they get to like 30°c+ they start getting a but unhappy.
Ok so go down the list
Check and compare

If you have a soil meter to check wetness
Have you grown the problem plants before
Well I asked some pretty knowledgeable sources and they all came back with wind burn. Makes sense once I say all my s6 oscillating fans are on 10 and pointed at the plants not above it. Rookie mistake but live and learn from my mistakes yall! I’m gonna raise all my fans in every tent to blow above the plants but below the lights and wait to see an improvement for a week before changing anything else. The 3 affected plants were also closest to the fan and where it blew
Does anyone know what this might be?
It doesn’t seem to affect other plants. No bugs. It may have been rootbound initially, but it seemed to have recovered. it’s been in flower about a week or so and seems to be getting worse. some of the leaves look super weird.
Goldfish from Hazeman, i got it as a clone.
When they curl like that is normally caused by heat, lights too close or high temperatures, doing that they preserve humidity while exposing less surface.
Happened to me until I changed the plant to a bigger tent, you can see new growth ok and tacoing old leaves below:
Don’t think it’s caused by the fans, they burn tissues that look scorched, maybe pointing those fans to below the lamps will help to lower heat …
the plant is about 3 feet from the light. 300ppfd. temp is 78f.
This plant has always looked funny, but it started tacoing when i put it into this tent. the tacoing is in odd places and not normal in my opinion…like in the middle of the leaf only.
Oh well, I have two possibilities and none of them are good …
it’s in my flower tent. I’ll just kill it.
are my other plants going to get sick?
I would trim a curled leaf and check the reverse with a scope to look for mites, you cannot see them naked eye.
In case you don’t see any, you will be safe while culling that plant, clean your tools with alcohol and check daily any weird look in the other plants.
Hope it’s not a great lose for you, I may be wrong but you are the one to make decisions…
thanks. it’s no big deal. was really small and a clone dropped off to me. I don’t know if it had mites. i can’t magnify more than maybe 30x. there were a few small white dots, but there was a lot of stuff going on at the underside of hte leaf surface. i can’t tell if it was natural texture or mites. i just killed it, put it in a bag and took to the trash, root ball and all. if it gets on any other plants that would ruin my year.
Well, I reckon it’s just another hunch, but I figure the problem might be tied to what you mentioned.
Looking at the photos, you can see that the leaves have IPM stains, and they’re not evenly covered. If you look closely, it seems like the oil is only on the leaf edges, and this could be due to the wind, but not a windburn. What’s possibly happening is that the wind is blowing over the leaves, causing the IPM to concentrate on the leaf edges. Although I’m not an expert, I know that some substances or molecules are heavier than others. So, the wind might be blowing away lighter elements like water, leaving only the heavier ones like oil. To make matters worse, it stays concentrated only on the leaf edges.
Another thing that might be, but I didn’t quite understand, is whether it’s a plant you’ve always cultivated or not. If it’s not, the fact is that even with the same IPM routine, some plants are sometimes more sensitive to wind, IPM, heat, the amount of light they receive, how they’re being fed.
Personally, I believe the issue is the wind. I’ve had this problem before, and I noticed that when I dried the plants in the wind, this sometimes happened. However, when I let them dry naturally, the next day when I turned on the lights, I could see that the leaves were evenly covered and had a kind of shine all over.
But you can test it bit by bit, one thing at a time. I would apply the IPM normally but let the plants dry naturally without the wind. After all, if they’re not flowering, there’s no risk of mold.
If that doesn’t work, try changing the IPM routine. Use one or two products at a time and rotate among the five products you already use. This way, you’ll know which of the five products might be causing the issue. Also, reduce the concentration of one or more products.
good luck
Looks like mites or aphid damage. Bunch of little white dots on the leaves from em suckin juice out.
IMO, when I see this issue, it’s usually nutrient antagonism. IME, it’s caused by to much K in the mix.
