And that PURPLE light you have might be quite bad as well, sorry about that. Sometimes they are. Only Purple LED lights by really good growlight manufacturers are trustworthy and highly functional. With white LED lights it is much easier; they all work if they are new technology. Whatever the wattage. And yes, spectrum should be anything between 3000-4500K. On another American grow forum some guys had done more testing with COB Worklights, and conclusion/result was that 4500K is the best. 4000K is also OK. When you only have one light. If you have 2, then maybe one 4000/4500K and one 2700Kā¦ if you can find. But yes, Iāve grown many different kind of vegetables with 4500K and they all like it very much, you get really strong plants, no stretching. For very cheap money. And if they are āworklightsā they are extremely robust even if they are cheap; they are made for dusty & rainy outdoor working environments after all. They are shock- and waterproof.
I am going to buy three or 4 more White leds like that One I have,3 4000k and 1 2700k about 18 watt each
That 6500K light should be okā¦ you can use it together with 1 or 2 3000K or 4000K or 4500K lights!
It has after all the exakt same kind of tiny flat square LED-tech as COB-LED lights has, or Quantum Board LEDs. Of course some companies are better quality manufacturing and materials than others, but they all work at least ok if only spectrum balance is good!
Thanks you so much, you saved my wallet again,
3 bulbs Is going to cost 10 euros and One socket Splitter 3 eurosā¦
i link you Just One more thing:the lamp I already have
https://www.lumeri.eu/lumeri-desk-2-120-growlight.html
Here the specs, hope you send a feedback
I checked the specs of that āpurpleā plant desk lamp, and it seems OK, maybe even goodā¦ if it is true what they say, that it also contains some white light? They say also UVā¦ but as LED I donāt know if it really is, because most people say it is VERY expensive to do proper UV-B as LEDā¦ so the UV in that plant desk lamp is probably not good enough to be very much useful to the plant. Still probably not bad either. Maybe it will do a little bit good?
Another thingā¦ so is it a Finola you are growing in the box now? You are hoping for a female I guess?
The thing isā¦ Finola is outdoor crossed/bred for many generations in Russian and Finland summer, so it does not like very strong light, like mediterranean quantitiesā¦ So be careful with distance and total watt power in small box. Maybe better to get or build a strong little tent, if possible for youā¦? Air circulation is also easier in a slightly larger space. Not much, maybe only double height and nothing else, if you need to keep it very hiddenā¦
This Is Buddha seeds medikit auto fem,not Finola,I have planted again 2 Finola but the post Is actually for the buddha medikit and the growbox too
But Iām thinkingā¦ Finola should be legal in ALL countries except a very fewā¦? It is food/oil-hemp after all! It just contains a good amount of CBD as well, which is excellent.
Ok, well then itās good. Just remember, for a square foot of floor area in growspace, you donāt need more than max 30W of good LED light. For 50x50cm area, 100-150W.
Yeah,It Is legal
My box Is 55x52x30 in widthā¦so 100 watt?
55 height and 52x30 floor area?
Yup It is 55 height
Then 100w total is too much, unless you have a very well functioning air-flow through the boxā¦? Do you have a computer fan pulling air OUT from high on the box, and an opening to let new air flow in freely low on the box, preferably on the opposite side?
I have 2 very potent portable fans bought in chinese stores,One Is airflow out and the opposite Is air in,even if light Leaks like 100000 haahahahah, but the airflow Is ok
Letās di Math:add 3 bulbs and the lamp Is 18x3+24=90ish watt,Is It good?
Then you can try around 100w total ā¦but you need to keep all lamp distances at minimum 25cm from plant now when it is small, and also later in flower minimum 15 cmā¦
But you can manage that by also ātoppingā (cutting) away the highest 1/3 of the plant after like 2 weeks, and then it will get WIDE but not high, more like a level field with many similar size buds (ā¦and not 1 BIG bud that is very close to the lamp, and the rest tiny very far belowā¦ which is not good in a tight small box!).
I have used that actual light. It will work, but you need to keep it 15-18" away for light dispersion. The buds will be a bit smaller than white light, but they will also be solid rocks. The chip is surprisingly small to put out that many watts, and it does generate a decent amount of heat. Get a cool white 50w led flood light, they work better in my experience. I have a 50w cool white version of that in my clone/ seedling cabinet as we speak.
Are rhe ones Iād recomend if you want to go COB LED flood.
At some point Iām going to do a 16oz auto flower run under the 2 of them, just SOG style, and see what I can get 100w to yield.
I Will buy some White leds then,Just the cheap One as @momo420 suggested. Many thanks <3
That one seems to be 6500K though? Not so good as a single light compared to a 4000K or 45000K lightā¦ most seem to say, and thatās my experience as well.
Yeah. Thats why I only run it in veg currently, but Iāve been using them on seedlings and clones for a year with great results.
Like I say, Iām curious how a plant would finish under it, Iād guess short, stout, rock dense buds, and smaller yield than if finished with added low k values, I do have a couple 20w low k value (3400k I think) boards though I could add in. I bet that would actually do better than 100w of just the cobsā¦ now you have me thinking lol
This is a link to those small panels. They sold out or I would have bought more.
I am thinking about a set of these for another clone/ auto cabinet.
