Hey guys! Starting a new thread specific to the 7th Gen of my Lemon Sour Glue cultivar. (Sour Glue S1 x Lemon)
The plan here is to flower out a number of Red Solo girls under some very low lighting - then narrow down some keepers after a smoke test. Once complete, I will be reversing the keepers into each other to create a 7th generation of LSG.
In my previous thread I sent out some of my outcrosses I made with my LSG S1, in addition to a LSG S1:F2 seed lot (6th Gen). While LSG Pure is likely the lowest yielding, and a long flowering cultivar - in effect, I received some solid feedback. It has been suggested to me that I simply move the LSG forward as it is a more unique experience unto itself.
One of my buddy’s suggested it help alleviated some of his neurological symptoms with pain and lasted a good 4-6+ hours for him. That was really good news to hear and I trust his opinion. Consequently I’ve decided to take his advice and move LSG forward.
Seeds are currently in the ground and I am waiting for them to pop up. I’ve been super busy lately, but I will be updating with pictures as soon as things become more interesting.
This sounds very promising, 4-6 hours of alleviating neurological symptoms would be awesome! I’m definitely noticing big differences in the effects of different genetics and limonene is great, especially in combination with some sour associated terps
Good luck with bringing this project to the next generation
Hey thank you for stopping by and the luck! - We will see what these beans give me. I was told by my friend the 3 he popped together were all in a ball park of each other, so that is really promising for a larger hunt!
Unfortunately due to more life piling on crap, my seedlings got neglected pretty much the moment they popped. Drought, plague, misery and death to most of them. With the exception of 3 ladies who have bounced back and are shaping up fine on the side!
The bad news?
I am not so certain these are LSG S1:F2 — I think these may actually be ((Strobi OG#2 S1 x LSG F2) x LSG F4:S1)
I had a single Coastal Drive F1 in the corner when hunting my LSG S1, and I think I may have accidentally mixed her into the lot… then… selected her as one of my keepers because of how dank she was. I am not 100% sure at the moment, but one of the LSG S1:F2 I’ve popped are really screaming Strobi OG profile right now - which is at a minimum heavily suspicious.
Now, the good news on that end - I intended to cross into the Coastal Drive with my LSG anyways, so this could be a slightly happy mistake.
Until I am able to hunt further and really discern what is going on, I am going to put this project on hold for now. I do have some more LSG S1:F2 seeds in water now, so I will be able to hunt through several more to see if I am getting that profile again. Everything else seems to be uniform except terpene profile on leaf/stem rub.
In the mean time, I will be doing a (Chem 91 x LSG F4:S1) x ((Chem 91 x LSG F4:S1) x Black Lotus F2) to create a LSG 91 Bx1 set of regs.
Sorry to disappoint guys! Just don’t want to commit to a S1:F3 yet, assuming I may accidentally be working a LSG Bx1(?) instead.
Next thing you know, you’ve got Bubba Kush mixed into your Indiana Bubblegum and everyone else is none the wiser… lol.
Alright guys, well my suspicions have subsided at this point. Upon further investigation, the smell I thought was Strobi OG was actually closer to a sweet pine on the stem rub that has turned into a strong Sour LSG profile - referring back to my pictures and other notes, everything seems to be in line. I have officially put all LSG S1:F2 seeds into water and will be hunting them out Red Solo style, seedless this run. I will then reveg the keepers to take her further.
I am expecting some potent keepers this run, so fingers crossed! I will hopefully be sharing some actual pictures in the next week or two, as I also have a 5gal LSG 91 keeper that is going to flower along side them and she is ready to flip!
Hey guys! Back for a very late update! Life is hectic per usual and I’ve been getting kicked in the teeth again and thrown down the stairwell, but I am back on my feet. I am currently working 2 jobs and about 55hrs a week between them, so as you can imagine, I don’t have a ton of free time available!
The good news is my bills are getting paid and I’m focused on a very good year!
Now, as for Lemon Sour Glue S1:F2 and my experience with popping them so far - I have maybe 7 girls in total going off to the side. Out of those 7, two of them have shown male flowers in the lowers. Keeping in mind, these girls have been light leaked, stressed to hell, fed only pretty much tap water and are sitting in red solos - I am not entirely surprised. Of the one I put into a 1gal, she did not show any signs of male flowers and is chugging along fine. After plucking the balls, none have grown back. — For breeding purposes, I will only be keeping seeds of the stable cut. However, I might reveg and give these others another run to see if they do fine in 5gals.
I have found a VERY Sour Glue leaning male expression in my (LSG 91 x Black Lotus F2) and have went ahead and dusted all of the ladies with his pollen. This is being used to create LSG 91 Bx1 regs, as well as LSG Bx1 regs.
Due to finding some balls in these LSG this far down the line, I figured it was better to not do another round of inbreeding or fem seed, and instead introduce these males to the line again via the stable females.
The trichome development is really starting to come in and the smells are telling me I’ve made the right selections. That Sweet Skunky Pine standout has turned into a light sour floral smell and is wet to the touch from how greasy she has become. Unmistakably LSG.
Anyways, I am expecting a harvest around March. I’ll update with pics once everything is done.
Thanks for being patient and sorry about all of the up and down!
Same girl, a week later. I’ve just been feeding her tap water and finally got around to giving her some actual nutrients today. Hoping to chop around the 1st of March to the 8th, depending on trichomes.
