Lets TALK about Vape Carts

I am interested in what people hear have to think about all the recent Vape illnesses that have been reported.
I have a family member who uses dispensary Select Carts and they work well for them but , they have an awful cough now.
What say Ye? I may ask them to stop them for now until more evidence is provided for studies .
Would love to hear pros and cons Thanks

Everyone should stop using carts right away and until further notice. There was a scandal involving the usage of mineral oil as a diluent for concentrates, under the pretense of lies, and the public hasn’t even caught up to the whole story yet. It’s hard to prove a correlation, but right as this company’s lies were being uncovered, and third party GC/MS testing was proving that they were selling mineral oil, suddenly there were breaking stories from all over the country about lung problems from vaping carts.

Buy wax and vape that. Or make it into your own vape juice. But don’t buy them in stores any more.

I’ve never had the “luxury” of being able to go to a dispensary and get some carts but for the ones I can get where I’m at, it seems like the high is a little short lived. Prolly like a good 30-45 min stone then I’ve gotta hit it a couple more times.

Now that on the other hand…gets me pretty straight for a couple hours

Thanks
Going to be hard for me to ask her to not Vape, only way she will do it
As far as making it herself she is not able, nor can I at this point due to my local.
If one did take wax how would she vape that, is that more of putting wax on the vape coil everytime you take a hit?
I have been reading of people diluting their our wax to make carts , but what are they using as a dilutant?

The best bet is to get a unit made to vape the concentrate directly. The GoBee works well for this purpose.

Dont use a dilutant, adding anything to a cart has unknown inhalation dangers.

Part of the problem is people sell these disposable carts. Not only are they made cheaply, but they are contaminating our landfills.

Another option would be a dry herb vaporizer.

Make your own dab or shatter its easy to do. Go grab a creap Yocan Evolve they work great I like it more than the Evolve Plus. My ex likes her Evolve very much and so do I, very easy to use and cheap to buy.

I recently used a vape to quit smoking. Had been smoking for 25 years.

Ever since this negative press, I’ve had more people tell me I’m “disgusting” and give me snobby stares and looks than when I was smoking.

But hey, at least I ain’t smoking…

For those of you looking for a vaporizer for waxes and shatter concentrates, look no further than the Divine Tribe atomizers. These things are no joke. I’ve been using his atomizers since the original v1 donut, and they’ve only gotten better and rebuildable since then. I currently use the Saionara, because I like the options of coils that can be used with it, but any and all of his atomizers are perfect for concentrates. This one right here is what I would order if I was just getting into vaping wax for the first time. Honestly, no joke, this is as close to portable dabs as you can get. They can attach to 510-compatible batteries, commonly known as e-cig batteries. Those little hand-held box looking things.

+1 on the yocan products.

I have the delux, it has both the cart thing and the shatter thing. It’s great.

I was using the Juul and had many people look down upon me for vaping “its not safer than smoking” came up often also. I only bought the Juul because I had a hookup from the automation company building their automated lines and had many hundreds of the cartridges in all flavours. Found it was good to kick cravings but then started using about a pod a day after about a month.

First of all yeah it is healthier than smoking that’s undeniable. Second of all who cares if it was way unhealthier, it’s cheaper and keeps me from spending exorbitant amounts of money on cigarettes aka the #1 cause of poverty in North America.

People are full of shit. I smoked 2.5 packs a day, quit using a vape pen. Took 2 months, but got to zero nicotine.
I feel 300% better, can BREATH, and NOW, never cough when smoking Bud. Use to hack up a lung just smoking a joint, now I realize it was the cigs.
I feel like a new person, so they can talk all they want, I KNOW how I feel, and the vape pen allowed me to kick a habit I have had for 45 years!!!
About to throw the vape pen away too…now just a physical habit of hand to mouth to break

I used a vape to quit smoking, been nicotine free for over 2 years now. I use a vape pen to medicate thc during the day, I like that it’s discreet, little smell and a few puff get me to where I want to be. The high is different because u don’t have the entourage effect of the terpenes but I’m fine with that because when I’m home I roll joints. There are always risks, fortunately the carts I use are lab tested, and I know the distributor personally.

Vape pens to me are the same as a metal grinder. Cheap Chinese metals flaking off and poisons vapours burning off into the throats of smokers. They are so cheap to buy. You could buy 100 disposable pens empty for 100 bucks or less.

Makes one wonder if the Chinese are at war with us in a different way
Kill off The Youths of America and taking us over will be a cake walk in the near future

It’s all being targeted toward the illicit cannabis market. Without proper testing and regulation, this was bound to happen.

Heavy metals have already been found in e-cig cartridges as well. I’ll stick to my Huni Badger.

Yeah I’m paranoid over vape carts. They seem to be all the rage, but I’m skeptical over the price point they are sold at.

I usually just put some rosin on top of a bowl and melt it in. Wasteful though. And rosin is already bad yields at 10-20% is all I’ve ever pulled. Maybe could get higher with hash specific strain

I’m going to look into getting that Huni Badger
