here’s the thing about living in a state of denial. That’s what I call it when someone can’t even accept what can easily be proven. This state of denial of reality doesn’t help you in any way. Humans use denial to help cope with a situation and can sometimes live in denial their entire life. I use acceptance of reality as my coping skill. Take the edge off with a little enjoyment! Ok and then there’s the dark path, known as denial.
This friend of mine had schizophrenia, which is a complete inability to determine cause and effect, a continual pattern of magical thinking. The delusions were hardcore, he was god. I easily disproved his hypothesis, and he even accepted that for 3 days… until the delusions ate his world.
So people are relying on their “perception” of what is real? Puhleeze. Science doesn’t do that, and for good reason. People live inside a narrative in their own mind the problem is when they mistake that narrative for reality.
What about these kids?
There have been several well documented cases of kids having very vivid memories of previous lives, even providing accurate descriptions of places they had never been and historical accounts of things that shouldn’t have had any knowledge about! 'Return To Life': How some children have memories of reincarnation
confabulations of the human mind. Children are exceptionally good at it. If you believe them, chuck norris worships satan.
Some of these cases involve very detailed descriptions of places that these kids would have no knowledge of, that line up with historical accounts and geographic details.
I’m not saying they are actual past life memories, but would be interesting to figure how they could know such things.
Useful intelligence has been gathered with remote viewing techniques as well, like detailed layouts of military installations, that turned out to be accurate.
Monarch butterflies take 3-4 generations to reach north america and Canada from Mexico, how do they know the way?
For me, this is all just food for thought.
As far as I can tell reality is pure abstraction and we fumble our way through life, projecting patterns and paradigms to keep our bodies going as best we can.
Energy is always transforming and is conserved, so in the sense that we are energetic processes endlessly cycling throughout the universe, I guess we are eternal, but the meaning and memory that we develop through our existence and experiences, our ego, personality, and pain, I think, ceases when our bodies do.
At least that is where I’m at right now.
Was that a joke? The cia proved ESP wasn’t real when they tried to get people like uri geller to remote view shit and discovered it was all gibberish. Project Stargate produced no useful intel, and uri geller isn’t psychic.

Seems like there were some sessions that did generate accurate data. Uri Geller was just trolling.
ok first, I’ll ask you a question. If psychics are so good, why are intelligence agencies using spy satellites and planting spyware on people’s computers?
Just to play devil’s advocate, since I think this discussion is going nowhere but can’t help stirring the pot… even if intelligence agencies have access to pyschics, and psychics are as plentiful and cheap to maintain as technological surveillance, why would they limit themselves to only psychics? Why not use spy satellites and plant spyware?
Psychics = analog spyware
The problem is the psychics lacked any action-able intelligence, and the tests could not be repeated. That means the results, as scant as they are, can fall under the heading of coincidence. In fact, I’m psychic. Watch I’ll get a 100% reading on you:
– You feel you have lots of unused potential, but you’ll rise to the top when you act on that potential.
Please don’t mistake that for anything other than a barnum/forer statement. I can recommend a great book that teaches you how to be psychic. “The full facts book of cold reading” (2012) ian rowland.
Once again, you mistake someone playing devil’s advocate for someone whole-heartedly believing the argument they’re making. I know all about cold reading, and if you’ll read back and notice, I never once made any statement on my personal beliefs about psychics. Please don’t mistake me for someone you can win any arguments against on the subject, because I’m just having fun feeding the troll here. I do, however, believe you have lots of potential of your own. We are all unique, beautiful snowflakes… just like everyone else.
no man, I don’t think you believe in psychics, but people have to see this information. It won’t change the mind of a “believer” because that’s not how it works. Here I’ll give you a classic story.
My friend has this computer he got from his dad after he died. Thing is all janky it reboots sometimes, and you can’t install windows 10. He declares it’s inhabited by his father’s ghost who is trying to communicate by fucking with the computer. That means, he’s given up on understanding what is going on. I’m over there and I said hey let the windows upgrade happen I can see you are using windows 8 that’s gross. He repeats his claim about the computer right and wants to just buy a new one. His wife is pissed. So I exorcise the ghost of his dead father with a BIOS upgrade. So then does my friend realize the ghost isn’t real? Or does he just dismiss the incident and go on believing, not learning anything about the computer or ghosts.
Just laughed so hard I cried a little… wow. If there were ghosts and they were trying to communicate, I have to assume they’d be a little more versatile. Why don’t any of these supernatural beings ever manifest and hand us nicely written stone tablets any more? Maybe they could use a blockchain and mint an NFT to verify the supernatural authenticity of the writings…
Religion is basically something that you believe in, and knowingly you have no proof that is real… all we can go on is what has been written in the past.
This is how Midwestern, Bible belt people have been brought up.
Everything short.
You believe in God Almighty, and believe that he sent his son to live and die for us for the forgiveness of sin.
Unless you are born again, you will not see the kingdom of God. (You must be baptized), or you can’t make it to heaven, but Lutherans of the Missouri senate believe if you die as a child then you will still go to heaven.
Tough love and and ask for forgiveness later…
I will not respond to this statement.we are all entitled to our own opinions.
You don’t think sacrificing someone to forgive sin doesn’t smack of blood magic? Why did you even bother to air your personal belief in public and think that it wouldn’t be challenged? Do you acknowledge that freedom of religion includes freedom from religion?
Here, I’ve got another one it’s kind of the same. This girl I know had borrowed someones guitar and he died shortly afterwards. Keep in mind this is a true story! So she said it wouldn’t stay in tune because it was inhabited by his ghost. Secret message from beyond the grave in musical tuning lingo. The girl who worked on it said the neck had separated so every time you tuned it, it wouldn’t be tuned shortly after. So… You think she learned to call the expert instead of assume ghosts did it?
@JoeCrowe , could you provide a way to prove the data on the world you collect is “real” data guaranteed to explain the world today and tomorrow?
You can believe all you want. I’m just srating how I feel. Do I believe that everything in the Bible is real? No. But I believe some is and that is enough to save my ass. 20 years ago if you didn’t believe in everything in the Holy Bible would lead you to hell. That is why there is the new testament (jesus era), means all is forgiven… if only you believe in that sort of stuff…
@JoeCrowe you find this thread interesting I now. Slow to anger and just think about things…
People get into rushes and that causes chaos . All I’m saying is that faith does not hurt a thing…
Absolutely. I measure it so that anyone else can use the same measurements and process to replicate it. I won’t rely on my own mind to think the results I got are actually something if it doesn’t work out for someone who doesn’t believe it will.
