I found a herm caused by a light leak…
It’s a Triple Durban x Acapulco Gold clone.
Some people say if I use it’s pollen,
the seeds would be female, but I really have no clue.I’m afraid the seeds might make more hermie plants???

Like begets like… the offspring will be more likely to hermie under similar conditions.
Hmmmm,
Not sure I understand…
I’m wondering how seeds fathered by this light induced herm, would turn out, grown under perfect conditions-
It would be better to find a more stable plant to breed with. Not saying that you can grow most of them out and they will be fine. But I wouldn’t use a plant with known intersex issues in a breeding program.
But can’t I make the strongest genetics herm with darkness interruption during transition?
No, some plants won’t herm no matter what you do. Those are the desirable plants to breed with IMO.
Completely agree. A herm is just evil and sadly must be eliminated. It is more the result of heritage than of environment.
Not unless you want to deal with future hermies
Nope. I wouldn’t breed with it.
Id chuck it…
Compost it! jmo
Nope trash from what I’ve been told and understand.
I’ve always trashed any hermie plants, except for maybe picking a few nanners late…
Not a bit surprised the hermie breeding experts don’t care to comment
Not sure I comprehend the difference between using chemicals vs light to reverse a plant though…
I was excited to grow modern autos, fems, and S1 seeds. Even wanted to reverse a plant, but after running a few, I’ve decided to stick with photo regs.
A grower can easily have a light leak or photoperiod interruption. It is very unlikely that a grower will spray ethylene blocking compounds (mainly silver) on their plants.
Chemicals make the plant produce male flowers because of a lack of hormones. Light pollution causes male flowers due to stress. That is a big difference in my opinion.
I’d usually say no and toss it…
BUT I recently bought some Branson’s Royal Revenge and it’s known to have light leak stress and possibly throw out a nanner.
That looks like a male plant more than a hermie.
I would trash it if it was a female…period. Not worth the effort to breed with it.
Thanks for the explanation-
I thought the spray was stressing the plant similar to dark interruptions.
But blocking hormones makes sense.
