Thanks. Yeah so far the GSN is my favorite at the moment. Almost broke a branch off today. Was trying to train without restraining and heard a lil crack. Opps. She will be alright. Iāve put plants through worse.
yep female, on the autos the flowers start on the 4rth node, and it just flowers as it grows. Some plants will put out a pistil in veg, others wont.
Oh okay. I think the soonest I have noticed was 4 days in. I have to admit I was very excited lol.
Hey @rooted & @BigMike55 . Do you guys use bait casters?
I would like to give em a go but there a little intimidating and I donāt like how the standard seems to be a right handed reel. I donāt understand that concept. Most people throw with there right hand.
I use baitcaster. Seems easier to me than spinning reels. Takes a little practice thiugh. What I do is tie on the bait and press the button and adjust your magnetic backlash control until the bait just starts to drop by it own weight. Should be now set up to cast. Pres the button and place your thumb over the spool. Then cast using your thumb as an additional backlash controll. After 20 or so casts. Youll know how to do it. I still get an occasional backlash and i have used these for forever.
If you go to Bass Pro Shop, or Academy or Cabelas. They have left hand models if you are lefty.
I watched some videos on the breaks, tension and drag. I feel a little more confident. Definitely going to have to actually go to a store to get one. I have pretty small hands for a dude. Going to have to get something that feels comfortable.
Got any recommendations? I know buying cheap on reels is not the best idea.
Yeah ive never really liked baitcasters. But mainly it was cause i never learned to cast em properly. I use spinning reels.
I think baitcasters are used upside down. Which would explain the right reel. Its left reel upside down
Yeah there upside-down compared to a regular reel. But the standard seems to be right reel. Iām a lefty. I thought left was the standard. It doesnāt reely matter (I couldnāt help myself )
If I see one I really like I could get used to it. Casting on a regular right handed reel is difficult because of how I hold the line with my index finger. I let the weight do most of the work. Using my thumb on the bait reel SEEMS like it would be more simple. I will always keep a flip reel in my bag just incase
How about you @Shaggy450r ? Do you use a bait reel?
Are you talking about a bait caster reel, or like a big salmon reel.
You guys are speaking my languageā¦ Iām just going through all my rods
If you can shovel out the cash for a Pfluger supreme or Pfluger presidential reel you will be very happyā¦ bait casters are a pain and they love to birds nest.
For bass. Lol. But hey if you have something else in mind I would like to hear about it.
Thatās a lot of rods. Which is your favorite?
I love my Fenwick rods paired with a Pfluger reel. HMG, HMX or this Elite tech are my favs. Thatās a Pfluger supreme reel as well.
I always here that. Those are a pain in the butt. Too much too worry about. Etc. etc.
I go with my brother a lot and he uses one of those underslung reels. He has 10 times the aggravation with his as I do with my Shimano baitcaster. He can probably cast further but not accurately. I can pretty much put my bait where I want it.
Shimano is nice. I went to get a small Shimano from Walmart. I was leaving the store wondering what made my total so high. It was supposed to be a combo. Someone stole the reel off of it. Ass holes. Smh.
Sheās pretty. I had an Elite. I forgot all about them it was my favorite rod at the time.
Great for slamming walleye. There are very sensitive but still have some muscle.
Do you do Salmon fishing @Shaggy450r ? I hear King Salmon is on every anglerās bucket list.
I just donāt know the difference between the 2 you spoke of.
