From what i am seeing they should be done before the end of Oct. I am betting they finish about the beginning of Oct.

We’ll see. I’m not seeing any amber trikes. Or even cloudy.
Don’t wanna take them too early and leave some of the potency behind.

That LPC is susceptible to mold. Had some here and there in my outdoor plants. So be on the lookout……
I am tempted to cross the strain with a mold resistant one as I do like the LPC.

Indeed. It’s very nice cannabis. I have about five jars of it from that big indoor plant I had. With a nice month or so cure it has become a go-to for me.Specially at night. A couple tokes before bed and ten minutes later, I’m in Neverland.

You bet it is. The first two that I harvested had a little on the largest buds. All the rest look good. That last one didn’t have any though. I turned the fans up on high when I saw the first plant had some. Remember, though, I was having major humidity spikes in that room. I still haven’t got that pounded out yet. Actually, I’m considering building a wall in the room I draw air from to make it half the size it is. Maybe the big dehumidifier I bought will do the trick then.

I’m like you @Oldjoints and @BigMike55 , I really like the strain. It’s great nighttime smoke, but a little mold resistance is needed.

I didn’t have mold issues with mine. But, I did have the exhaust fan going high, a tower fan in the corner on the floor and two 4 inch fans. One in opposite corners from each other. I adjusted the fans until I got a good amount of “wiggle” in the plants. Not direct wind, but the plant did shake a bit. Maybe that helped mine. I will keep an eye out for mold on my outside girls from this point on. The Zamaldellica is pretty bushy on the colas. I will need to pay real close attention to those.

I didn’t have any mold on my indoor LPC, just a few spots on my ID plants.

I’m sure if I’d had a handle on the humidity I wouldn’t have had a problem.
Yeah @BigMike55 , I had them moving from the breeze in there.

Ok so I have decided to cross the LPC to the ISS. Both are frosty and the ISS should make the LPC buds a bit more airy aiding in it’s ability to not mold as much. I think once I work it a few generations it will make a damn nice strain for indoor and outdoor. I have seeds of both so it’s just a matter of getting my current grows finished.

Great idea @Oldjoints! Those strains sound like they will pair well together

That does sound like a nice cross. I can help you test seeds and such. If you want. I can say, since I have grown and experienced both… I say go for it Brother.

That does sound interesting @Oldjoints .

Y’all are always talking about crosses of strains I have never experienced so I have no idea what such a cross might be like. I’ve tasted and grown both of these and can’t see how a cross could be anything but outstanding!

Same here. Sometimes I have experienced one of the parents but usually not both. When I’m choosing crosses, I always pay more attention to the mother. That’s how I’ve been told anyways. But that father has to be contributing more than just magic dust. There’s something in that dust.

I guess that would be until it is worked a few generations.

Yeah but I would assume every generation, you would be looking for the same properties in what male you choose to use for the next gen. Selection is an art from what I’ve noticed.

They don’t call it Halloweed for nothing lol I’ve noticed chops start about a week before Halloween and continue through about a week after

IMHO the father of the strain is just as important if not more so than the mother. The male plant can alter terpene and cannabinoid profiles, plant hardiness, and keep the genetic lineage diverse. After all it does deliver 50% of the genetic makeup for the strain.
Picking a good male to use for your strain can be tricky because picking a bad one could make your strain worse.
I have certain criteria that I use for picking males. It has taken many years and trial and error to figure out what that criteria should be. Of course this criteria will differ from breeder to breeder and a matter of opinion. There are also different methods for using males. I prefer selective breeding methods when trying to improve a strain instead of open pollination.
I could go on and on about this topic so instead I will end it here and just reiterate that the male to me is as important as the female and why I always get regular seeds instead of fems.
