I use a pigeon tied to a fishing rod. You can mount 2 go pros to it… not 3 definetly not 3. The more line you got the further the range

And fyi eagles can hold more cameras… but they hurt way more than pigeons

Buy a real cheap one for practice crashes first.
Then look into an ok drone once you stop crashing the crappy one.

What pedro said… Cheap one to learn and figure out orientations.

Then you move up to something bigger and more useful… But until you’ve got the basics sorted and figured out how not to dumbthumbs - stick to the one with the cheap parts/replacement.

A piece of bread inside a looped rope works great, quick action in a city center lol. Sometimes you can snag two, it’s like a racing drone then

This one will get you in the sky and it also has a very good flight mode for beginners. This is no phantom, but at least you won’t go broke. These drones can cost thousands of bucks. It’s an expensive but fun hobby that I want to explore one day.

My son has a DJI Phantom 4. It takes great footage. I think he paid $1400 for it. I’m sure they have ones that are as good of quality for cheaper now.

If you’re into DIY check the ESPCopter. It’s tiny and cheap. The full kit is $120 so you can crash a few to learn before you get a real one.

I prefer my flying toys have wings, because they can glide. :airplane:  :airplane:

My old flying buddie was forced to move away for work, when he did he got into drones and racing them too.

This one’s great outdoors, Rock steady, and great range for $150. Cameras not the best but it’s fun and has blown away all the cheaper ones I’ve had

I have the Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4K - it’s big and bulky but flys for 20-25min on a full battery and can go really really far. I like. I also crashed it into a tree once and for 50 bucks was able to get parts I needed to fix it.

I can’t remember, it does have a battery gauge on the display and will return at the flick of a switch. It will follow you or circle you too. I need to charge up the batteries and get mine out there again. They run about 20 minutes.
I think the camera range is much better than the wifi drones.
