When using airpots , I would line the inside base and inside sides of the airpot leaving it one inch above the soil line as this acts like a bunged wall to stop the erosion of the soils / cocos surface down and out the sides of the airpot when watering , and makes repotting easier , gnats also hate it as it stops them accessing them holes and partying lol , it’s great stuff ( pound stretcher )
You could use it to line the openings of the base of the boxes maybe too , to stop any creatures gaining access to the rice ?

The creatures are pretty much inevitable I think lol. I’ve seen actual Koreans on videos using wicker baskets with good results so absolutely no reason it shouldn’t work. I wasn’t gonna line them though. Just seat and cover them. I don’t think they will stand the test of time like cedar but they break down naturally. Like kitchen roll instead of a plastic sheet. For future collections I even wanna try and find a rain shield a bit more natural than a plastic bag or tarp. The sticks I used to prop the canopies were found on site too. Means all I have to dispose of is a single carrier bag (that I ripped in 2 and that was purely because I had it with me)

I would just use a piece of the fabric as a rain shield too , but I’m weed control fabric in the brain hahahaha : )

I have pollen from femmed plants…Greenhouse Seeds - big bang (pollen 1 year old) and Dutch passion - think different (pollen 6 months old)…I can send swabs of pollen if your looking to cross…

As much as I’d like to say yes. I don’t think I’d get the opportunity to use them for anything any time soon. My space is really limited. I’m having to do some shuffling to do these GSC auto fems as it is. Really appreciate the offer though

We had frost this morning. Not a hard frost so it may be game over for shrooms. Gonna try get one more look in this week. We ate/drank the rest of the pick

I grow autos outdoors here in the UK as every photo grow outside never finishes before frost sets in.
I also grow autos while my indoor photoperiod plants are in veg. Kind of if there is space fill it with an auto scenario. It has the added benefit of making sure the photos get a longer veg period
