Magnesium deficiency? Hydro

I have what looks like a Mg def that I just can’t seem to fix.

I try and feed them more Epsom and still nothing.

Jack’s 3-2-1 pH drifts from 5.6 to 6.1 feed is dropping 0.2EC weekly from 1.3 to 1.1 which is what I’m normally at.

My only thought is this is something mimicing a Mg deficiency?

6 site Rdwc. 27 gal totes so about 71 liters per plant.

Been running this mix for 2 years now and never encountered this

honestly that leaf looks hungry…
I know you’re feeding it, but it’s pulling nutrients out then burning the leaf off…thats just what i see though

1ml per gallon of cal/ mag is my suggestion

Not the whitest. But not bad.

This is them as a whole. They have quadrupled in size in the past 2 weeks.

try checking your pen calibration
was there humidity rise or drop in the past few days or new lights introduced?

There’s a fungus that will cause that. Don’t remember the name off the top of my head.

Just a quick question… is this a new strain you are growing.

Also a could you take a pic of the roots with the camera flash off.

I’ve encountered this exactly before in coco. I’ve always attributed it to pH fluctuation, but I can’t say if that’s it for sure.

I have to agree with lefthand. I have pics of leaves in my tent thread with the same issue. It was my rootzone ph being to high, but I’m in coco so not sure about dwc.

I’ll say pH drift too…try to keep it under 5.8

Yup That’s what I was thinking too

This is a new strain. TH seeds chocolate chunk and critical hog. Only happening on the big fan leaves

Well I have a pH doser that was keeping it steady at 5.8 but I started making a drift with it since Mg is best absorbed at 5.8 and beyond. So I’m not so sure on pH.

I also have two pH measurements one with the doser and one with the combo meter (for feed) and they both are calibrated and reading the same

That is a significant swing.

imo

N, P, K, Mg, or Zn. or pH.

That’s over 5-7 days. Not that big of a swing.

Here’s a picture of the roots without a flash. Like I said I’ve had whiter but they aren’t bad and are filling up this 27gal tote quick for only being in it for less than a week.

The feed isn’t dropping as fast now. Dropped 10ppm since this morning
