Malted barley Soil amending

Herbie, the thing is malted barley is a big deal. They have very scientific processes that ensure the highest enzyme activity. Clackamass Coots experimented with lots of sprout teas but always had the best results with professionally maled grains. My guess is the increase in enzyme activity by tightly controlling the sprouting process outpaces the loss by drying in a kiln.

That being said, sprouted corn tea is high in the phytohormone cytokinin which promotes cell devision in roots and shoots.

Indeed, blue corn SST and cheap organic aloe powder helped bring my over watered seedlings back to life so I did not have to scrap them.

That’s great! Can’t wait to see how it works for you. I bought a 50 pound sack of barley for 12 bucks from one of my local grain elevators. Might be worth a drive to the country side. Make sure you call these grain elevators to make sure that they have it in stock if you decide to make a trip. Happy growing!

I noticed some WPM spots just popping up on some of my lower fan leaves and I will tell you this I was kind of shitty when I seen it so for shits and giggles I checked my tricomes and what do you know 23 percent amber 84% milky the damn this was perfectly ripe.I had to harvest.Just in time too .Coots was right barley finishes your crop 25% faster.Mind you my original due date was oct 7 earliest to the 15th of oct. That one little 5 inch cutting filled a good portion of my tent.I’ve never cut down a plant that smelled like that ever.My eyes were watering cutting it up.My gloves were sticking together the resin on this shit is nutts.I had a small branch that snapped off a couple small buds and I dried it out like a week ago.I rolled a joint of it and it’s some of the best weed I’ve ever smoked. That wasn’t even cured and just dried out to be able to sample it and I can’t wait to see what this is going to be when it’s dried and cured.I’m never buying weed again I will grow my own for now on.

It came out not looking the best kind of larfy a little leafy but it’s got like this greasy oil every where all covered in trics and every part of it is super sticky.I stuck a tiny skirt bud to the side of my tent where I have a big fan blowing down and it stuck to the tent wall and I had to peel it back off.The malt enzymes must have contributed a huge brix content and that’s why I got so many tricomes stacked on top of each other they made like this greasy angelic miasma of wow.

Very well could be but it always good to check the levels … just takes a few fan leaves rolled up and squeezed on to the refractometer a 20$ tool worth the price IMO

Stumbled upon this little vid some good nuggets of info in this one!
