This is a great story of finding and bringing back landrace genetics by @Kidete and others helping to fund the trip. I’ll be following along as well. This will be a very special and interesting grow. Sorry to hear about your dad’s passing away. I like that you’re honoring him with the 747 symbolism. Good luck to you!

No action yet. Putting the seeds in my grow room for some heat. I expect some tails in the AM

This is really amazing sprouting seeds that whrre in the congo not that long ago… i am really pumped for this grow. Hope there are tails just waiting to grow today

Tails showed . At least half a dozen. Probably a dozen. I put them up above my woodstove and got it cranking. I told my wife to keep the stove going as long as she doesn’t burn herself out of the house today. I’ll get a picture when I get home to show the progress.

Those 20-30$ seedling mats work good also.

This is the one I have. I find it works very well to keep them at optimal temperature without too much excess heat. Your results may vary.

10 x 21"

Keeps it at just the right temperature.

Yeah keeping them in the correct temperature range is super important.

For me, its noticing the rate of growth compared to just letting my tent lights keeping them warm.
