Up to over 20 sprouts last night. Probably more by tonight.
I’ve used a heat mat before , but i’ve cooked my sprouts that way too. Gotta keep the seeds off the mat or hotspots can do damage or worse. I like a thick wet sponge sitting in a tray of water. However…My wood stove set up is absolutely perfect for me. Keeps the seeds right around 80/85 degrees. They jump out of their shells…and i never killed one😁

Will be planting tonight. Got some new soil to mix with the old. Should be perfect for sprouts.

23 planted, 8 more with tails ranging from just peaking out to 1/4" in length are on deck. The first one is coming up above soil. When its green, I’ll get a picture.
The remaining seeds look good…so hopefully with the moon increasing in size( waxing)and exerting more and more force on the seeds, some more will join the party shortly.

So happy you are having great germination rates. Should get a great picture of the diversity in these genes. Absolutely kick ass…

I can’t wait either😁
23 original sprouts were planted and all 23 are up or right there ready to lift out of the soil. Another 6 were planted tonight and i expect at least 5 of them will come up. 3 more are popped but not yet growing a tail.
So, around 30 plants total.
I usually figure a 60% germ rate fo indigenous landrace seed. 47 seeds. 60% is 4.7x6 or around 28 plants. Right on target. I will give the other seeds another night and then will dry them out, crack them and plant them in soil.
A couple look like these two now.

Update time. The 23 planted first are up and growing. I’m seeing a few more ready to heave out of the soil or break free of the seed. Looks like 28 or 29 total will grow. One has a club root, so will grow slow, but Ill baby it. 3 more popped but stalled.
We are at almost exactly 60% germ rate. Spot on. remaining seeds are in one cup.
Some nice, very narrow first leaves on these.

60% percent is excellent. So glad these seeds are viable and growing.
