šŸŒˆ Mastering the Original Haze releases

many thx @OriginalFarmerJohn
will do when this is ready to show Sam the results from the bx to da haze  ā€¦ last time he asked me ā€¦ WHERE ARE THE SAMPLES hehe
so next time Iā€™ll need to bring someā€¦ and yes there is always someone ā€¦
detoxication from iNet is very good ā€¦ especially these dayā€™s hehe
here a pic from the actual flowering of the bx to da hazeā€¦ budā€™s are thereā€¦
had some spider mites in summer ā€¦ but fixed nowā€¦ this year was hard also outdoorsā€¦ picā€™s followā€¦ had big storm yesterday and half of the plants are on the groundā€¦

those are all 3 bx to hazeā€¦ Zamal/OHz x OHz, Caledonia/OHz x OHz and A5Haze/OHz x OHzā€¦ grown just from seedā€¦ no selectionā€¦ just 5 seeds picked the best 2 lookingā€¦ see already they looking like the last timeā€¦
no tricksā€¦ haze male and good selection after smokingā€¦ keeping cutā€™s and go the extra mile  ā€¦ but itā€™s worthā€¦ as the results speak by them selfā€¦ me think
:rainbow:M.

u already made feminizeds hazes? how do they come out? reversing a male haze strain sounds wild. ive seen some crazy stuff from reversals and that sounds even crazier. i think its better to do it the original way, males and females, but maybe they come out good, idk . it all looks cool forsure. i dont know much about pure haze, best stuff i had was super silver haze n chocolate thai n jack herers.

the cocoa kush is from dj short blueberry lineage, never blazed it or grown it on its own yet, but it has chocolate thai influence in its genetics

Didnt csi do that or am i thinking of someone else? I know he reprod some other stuff of yours. Have to double check on the haze though, maybe not. Hes more of a purple guy anyway i think. Lol im one of the closet growers you speak so highley of . Thnx

Why? So we can spin the wheels for another 30+ years like you have with it? Fuck open pollination. Selection. Man up and take the Lā€™s as they come

Lol be careful holyangel! The purist guys will be here in a second. I get both viewpoints though open pollination or selecting. Guess it depends on what your trying to do. Personally i wouldnt wanna run shitloads for a keeper, but im an indoor guy so.

Oh I get both but cmon. Tom said himself the line is basically the same as the day he got it. I.E. Have to grow 100-200 plants to find one thatā€™s good. I know of at least one person here who has done the 100 beans for $200 deal, grew them all out, and didnā€™t find anything worth keeping. So it doesnā€™t make any sense. Meanwhile, you have madmac here who actually DID some selection and look at his results. Look at Mahaā€™s resultsā€¦ Both done by careful selection.

Oh i know what your saying. The avg joe aint popping 100 seeds of an equatorial sativa, and hoping for a descent plant. Breeders maybe, i resoect anybody though that dedicates 6 months to grow one.

I wonder if a hemp type could be grown to taste like hops?,. What type?

I found when reversing Thai male seeds were still large like the females? I wonder if that holds true for other types?Hybrid Homozygous types

Small diameter copper piping works even better.
Or maybe try these.

If I pay $ 200 for 100 seeds I expect to get 100 great plants ! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: You ā€œbuyā€ seeds so that you dont have to sort through them. The breeder is supposed to have done all that work already. Otherwise, you could just grow bagseed and have just as much of a mathamatical chance of finding a great plant.

@magu Tomato growers can make a varietal, call it ā€œtomatilloā€, and have 100% of the plants, from seed, breed true for the traits they selected. Iā€™ve never heard of a tomatillo that needs you to grow out 200 plants before you find one that has makes small tomatoes.

If you canā€™t get ONE SINGLE plant out of even 50 that match your description, you really shouldnā€™t be shocked when people arenā€™t impressed with your ā€œbreedingā€ efforts :joy::rofl:

Open pollination or selection.

I see no reason a person cant do both or one or the other.

Ive already stated before that im not growing 200 seeds to get 5 possible good ones.
But to Toms credit he did say hes just preserving what he was given.
Its easy to forget that with him acting like hes the worlds foremost authority on the what the haze high should be.
So would i buy them for breeding stock. Sure.
Would i buy them expecting to find a buch of nice plants. Nope

But come on yall. Every darn thread here come the God complex know it alls.
And then here comes the mob with they pitchforks and torches.
Meanwhile the farmers aint ask for none of this bs and just wants to grow good crops.

Man lets let @MadMac continue to his show.
Yall got my popcorn getting cold.

Madmac youā€™ve inspired me to try something more on the extreme sativa side indoors Usually nevilles haze and nl5 x haze are as far as i go.Thnx tom, thnx mm in advance.

 Touche. I suppose I should be fair and say I have never attempted to breed haze, and from everything I hear (partly from you), haze traits are not easy to lock down, and there are a good few traits to lock down that make haze, haze.

However, I think my point still stands

@TomHill . If you would like to educate us with some of your knowledge and experience that would be great. But please be polite and respectfull of others opinions. In exchange we will respect yours. We are all equalls here. No ones thoughts are more important than another persons. That is how we all learn. That way we all contribute and we all gain. Its not about individual egos. Its all about the haze plant. Let us start again. Welcome friend.:v::grin::+1:

I would love to be able to pick up useful information about haze from Mr. Hill. However he seems to be above sharing with us little folks. I canā€™t imagine what he has to go through being ā€œwell known breederā€ of Cannabis Iā€™m certain he has had to deal with tons of clowns talking crazy. I hope he can swing by sometime and offer advice that enlightens us to why and what he thinks. If its more important for him to know and not share then let him sit alone on his hill and watch us flail around then.
I think he sould be an awesome resource for haze knowledge but because someone wants to try something he doesnā€™t approve of he calls us children.
If you canā€™t be bothered @TomHill why come around?
I have respect for your work and I understand that being in the public eye sucks and you get tired. I sincerely hope you you have success in your endeavors public and private but OG and the people here deserve a little better of you. :v:

Well said i hang out around haze threads for that very reason to gain insight from one of the ogs, but usually its petty bickering. Entertaining yes but knowledge shared not really lol. Shame too bc id love to get insight from Tom minus the silly stuff. I get hes been there done that, but hell add some substance every once in a while. Anyway back to it. :v:

I would love arguments that lead to more knowledge being shared. I can get behind a spirited discussion of a topic if it doesnā€™t devolve into mudslinging. I donā€™t know if that exists anymore.

Not really unfortunately. Im guilty of it too not sure why its trending that way as of late. But theres still some really nice members here on overgrow. Just few and far between, hell i felt bad about being a douche earlier and apologized to several members. Maybe its the haze doing it

Honestly i hope it doesnt get worse with shit talking bc this place is my second home. Im just a hermit interacting with other hermits haha.
