This post in another thread reminded me of one of the most calamitous incidents I have experienced in all my years of growing ganja!
I started 10 seed of Trainwreck I swapped some seeds of mine for.
I germinated the seeds directly in ProMix in 16 oz styrofoam cups. Started indoors under lights. As soon as they broke through the surface of the ProMix I moved them outdoors under direct sunlight. They were doing very well for about a week when the loathsome, verminous Deer savagely ate my little babies. Oh no!
Well, all of the plants had scant bare stems remaining…except one…this one little plant still had shredded remaining cotyledons.
So after about a week or so this plant did not die (the other 9 seedlings expired). I then transplanted this sole survivor into a .71 gallon container.
Well, it stayed alive, and this is what happened:
The little survivor stayed alive and produced puny, but nice, sticky, tasty, potent buds.
My conclusion: that as long as a plant has at least a little bit of life giving leaf attatched to it’s stem…it should survive!
Amazingly resilient plants indeed!
