Not sure why but first true leaves turned brown and crispy on the Cherry Pie but the other leaves are fine. (Front right) and one Acapulco Gold baby may be a mutant a few weird turned down leaves (back left). All good in the hood. 11 seedlings and 9 ground spots. I purposely sprouted 2 extra females in case shit happened.
Solstice is what, like a week away? I feel like I am so far behind this year. I sprouted the seedlings in 4" pots so I can build a slight root system with the only transplant being into the ground.
On a side note, all shade cloth has been installed on my greenhouse but the heat still spikes between 2 pm and 5:30 pm in there. I bought a mister that I can put on a timer. Do you think that will work?
Now the plant behind the Cherry Pie has brown, crumbly leaves. WTF? They are watered. Thinking maybe I have a fungus or bugs? I’m gonna wait until the sun starts to go down then spray them with a 3 in 1. I will also move them one tier down on my shelf so they can get more shade for now. I’ve never had to worry about the sun on seeds sprouted in the sun before.
If your hoop house isn’t really set up with fans and such, it gets super hot.
Our plan is to use it for a spring crop start around April 1.
Then around beginning or middle August put some longer flowering plants in the ground.
I started with 6-inch clones just hitting four feet and I thought I started late. All of a sudden, they take off I like starting seeds or clones in 1-gal pots in the grow tent. Then into the ground when weather permits Happy growing
Hi Y’all. I think all of my seedlings are diseased. They have all gotten black, crunchy leaves. It started with the Cherry Pie and spread to all. I sprayed them all with a 3 in 1 last week and I’m gonna try a BT spray this week. They may not be worth putting in the ground at this late stage. I may have no grow this year. It’s either that or spend 900 bucks on Teen Clones at this late stage of the game. Super frustrating!
Ouch, so sorry to hear that @Meesh . I always love watching your grows. Just bad luck unfortunately. I wonder if there are any OGers that might be able to help you with some older clones that won’t cost so much.
The patterns on the leaves look like spore colonization to me.
Try a 1% H2O2 spray and remove the nasty leaves (before you pitch them).
… If I’m right it might help…
Meesh, I have NO IDEA why I didn’t even see this until now, a month late. Guess I’m still wandering around OG dazed and confused.
I spent a chunk of years in SoCal, too, mostly in the San Diego area. Though my gf is a flight attendant out of LAX and her crash pad is in El Segundo.
Good on you with the smoking thing, too! Look at us go. I love to cook and my tastebuds are way better than they were.
And btw, congratulations (belatedly, once again) on your wedding!
Alright so I shook off all the starter soil and replanted them with Happy Frog. This was in case the soilless mix had been too acidic and caused ph lockout. I also cut off most of the fucked up leaves and sprayed them all down with H202 in case it is a fungus or mold then rinsed and watered them . Also cleaned the tray out with bleach. Did find a couple baby pillars in there. There are 2 effen moths inside the net that I can’t catch. sigh I’m gonna spray the shit out of everything with BT, but I’m worried it will just be too much for the plants in one day. Maybe I should wait a day or two for that. The roots on all the plants looked white and healthy so I’m super confused as to wtf went wrong.
My girl who grows up in the high desert is gonna meet us halfway with 5 plants that she has to spare, so if I have to throw all of these out at least I will have a few plants this year. 2 are definite females the other 2 are Regs and should be almost ready to show sex. The husband and I will make the trip on Thursday. It’s super cool of her, especially since she is going to drive the 100 miles to meet us. It’s like 50 or 60 miles each way. If you’ve ever been to LA, then you know what nightmares our freeways are and the bad traffic. This is why I am super generous with my grower friends and weed in general. Because right now when I need it, someone has my back.
