Congestion busted my ear drum. I’m having a hell of a time contacting my new doctors office to get referred to a ear nose throat specialist too. The last year has been very challenging in getting the medical care I need. Effing HMO pieces of shit.

Hey @Meesh! sorry to hear you’ve still been under the weather. I’m still really enjoying all your strains. After smoking them for a while here are my thoughts:
GG#4 RIL - Really great strain that I find very clear and uplifting in small quantities. When smoked in larger amounts, it can get me going a little racy and confused. Love smoking it around lunchtime to get a boost for the afternoon! Nice piney flavor. Very strong stuff. I would guess the highest in thc of everything you gave me.
C99 - Really gorgeous bud here. Very fruity, and I can pick up where people say c99 is pineapple scented. I found this to be a very balanced hybrid rather than a pure sativa which I had assumed it would be. I wake and bake with this stuff on the weekends, and I find the high to have a good bit of body to it, with some cerebral stimulation, but with a hazyness to it, which I really like! This one was a total winner!
Sour Diesel- I agree with your assessment of the skunky lime. I get that too. Very similar to the GG#4 RIL, but maybe a little hazier in the brain, but still very, very clear. I like this one for social occasions. Can pass around a joint of this without everyone getting quiet after.
Love Fire- I know you said you were unsure about this one, but I love it! It’s perfect mellow daytime functional sativa weed. I find the high very similar to what I found in Mothers Milk, which makes sense as that’s one of the parents. Very calming, centering, stuff that makes me smiley and a little bit dumb, but great for doing errands while still being stoned. I can get away with this stuff during the workday too if I’m feeling like I need a little more pep in my step! Great frost on there as well! Has some real funky, earthy flavor.
Cheese- My favorite of the bunch you gave me. Really nice hybrid with mental stimulation, and a wonderful body high. If I’m in a poor mood, I’ll smoke this stuff and it’ll set me right. I tend to smoke it most later in the evening for the body high effect, but it can be good for an afternoon puttering around the house too. I can see why your Dad demands it every year! I gotta grow myself some Cheese now! Another very earthy, almost spicy flavor on this one. Very interesting!
Grape Ape- My second favorite strain in the bunch. Great pre-bedtime smoke! Very heavy stuff, and strong. Probably your second strongest strain. I wish I had taken a photo of the larger buds you gave me, but I had already smoked em all. Only a couple little ones left haha! It has this wonderful musky fruity funk to it. I’m an indica guy, so this one really hit the spot for me!
Bubblegum- This is my girlfriends favorite. She loves it! It’s got great sweet flavor like it’s name. Another true hybrid. Definitely has some body effects to it, but I feel like it gets me up and going to where smoke in larger quantities can be a bit too racy for me. It’s a very in your face high, that I feel it in my face! Almost a little aggressive when smoked in larger quantities, which she really likes! I think it’s really well done, and when I smoke it in the right quantity is wonderful herb!
Jack Herer- The only strain you gave me that wasn’t for me. It’s too cerebral and racy for me to properly enjoy. It makes it difficult for me to sit still after smoking, which might be great for some people, but I don’t love weed that makes me feel like I have to clean my house after smoking it. I do like the flavor, citrusy with a bit of pepper to it, but it’s probably the one jar I got from you that I’ll gift out to others who enjoy that racy sativa high.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, you do great work in your garden. You really set the bar high for what an outdoor grow is capable of, and I hope to grow weed as good as your someday. I’m so jealous of your big full buds. Thanks again for sharing.
If you are interested, I might have some plants for late spring if you are interested. Going to do a bunch of sex testing on some plants then, as well as propagating some clones, and assuming I have some extras would love to share! At the very least would love to come by and share a little bit of this springs indoor harvest. Hope tax season doesn’t kill you!

Haha! I love this! Absolutely love this! So funny, I’ve been smoking Jack Herer this week thinking about how much I enjoy it and how I never appreciated it before. I am so used to sativas that it doesn’t seem racy to me at all. The bubblegum and grape ape that seem the most indica leaning kick my ass sideways when I even smoke a hair too much.
I’m glad you two are enjoying my bud. It thrills me to hear.
I definitely want a good clone or two come time! You know how to get ahold of me. So anytime you want to hang out.

I’ve also noticed how quiet everyone tends to get after passing around a joint, especially indicas. Does Sour Diesel have a strong body effect?

It does not. That exact reason is why I bring my own joints to parties or get togethers now. Most people don’t put much consideration into choosing strain and they pass around inward focused (indica) high joints. I know I put much more consideration into my choice of strain by the occasion.

I never did like the indica body effects during the day, or when anything is going on. The weed I used to get in Alaska made me totally useless and kind of boring at get-togethers. It was good for kicking back and binge-watching King of the Hill. More than once I found myself in the darkest, strangest corner of YouTube, having no idea how the hell I got there. Wikipedia, too.
