Missouri State Growers

@SamsonSimpson

Welcome!

What Copa are you growing there? I have packs of his Vale Tudo and the repro he did of Bodhi’s Secret Chief (SFV OG x 88G13HP), but haven’t popped any.

I have quick skunk, project 25, purple panther and lime time. The last 2 were freebies but freaking amazing. I have grown outdoors in Missouri for many years and always battled bud rot. I have spent countless hours with a leaf blower drying off dew before work and even shed a few tears when that monster bud turns brown and mushy. I have also purchased many so called mold resistant strains that were crap. Copa genetics have far surpassed my expectations. Without much thought I was growing the Copas right beside my pumpkin patch. No problem until the pumpkins began dying off and my girls were caught in a mold spore orgy. I removed two small branches that caught the rot, moved the girls and haven’t had a problem since. Copa for the win

Well said, that is growing in Missouri, the seeds produced from this environmental factor are documented as some of the best seeds you can make to grow in 50 states. Can’t say that for California because most strains from California, New Mexico won’t grow good outside of their native land environment, like for example Missouri.

Many seeds damping off I get from California, New Mexico, so it’s a good thing to train those highland mountain plants in Missouri, the average humidity at harvest time here is 75 to 80 percent humidity. That’s above the threshold and why we see bud damage happen over night. Doesn’t mean the weed is junk or its the breeders fault, it’s Missouri and it’s learning a new way to grow. Usually by the second or third year, the plants really become solid performer outdoors.

I’ve had to work up many genetics to adapt here.

When I see sold only in California or New Mexico, that’s a challenge to me to fix the problem so we all can grow it.

Growing in Missouri has been challenging for me. As I began growing I was more concerned about hiding my plants along the wood line and amongst bushes and such. I was also buying seeds based on the size and density of buds, wanted them big as my forearm and so hard you could put them in a sock and beat someone lol! As time went on and I learned more about bud rot through terrible experiences I moved out into the open and cringe when my buds start getting big and dense. This is one I suddenly lost years ago. Still kinda hurts but a good learning experience.

I have some small rooted plants to give away. I’d rather give them to a good home than toss them, but I need to step back from growing. Anybody within driving distance of Kansas City, Missouri? Contact me if interested.

420 Carats
Limoncello Haze
Mother of All Buds
White Widow Xtreme

The clones were cut from plants that were grown indoors from seeds. The seeds were purchased directly from Amsterdam (AMS co). They have good roots.

@Tolerance_Break

If you want some of these, let me know asap… you know — they get bigger every day.

Wish I was in KC but I’m at the other end of the state

I have a van… I might be willing to take a day trip and meet you half way, depending on the distance and the number you’ll take.

Let me know.
