Make sure to cover all exposed skin, ask me how I know
You might be sensitive or allergic to one or more of the ingredients. Rose nor myself have ever had ANY reaction to the spray.
We’ve been using it weekly for over a year now…
Oklahoma is under an infestation of SM, we can pick em up just in the 50’ walk from the back door to the barn! So we spray every week just in case! lol
I had a bad infestation of MTA yes all 3 and I sprayed 3 times a week for 2 weeks. All it did after all that is dry out the really unhealthy leaves that were pretty damaged already.
Do a bud wash and look at the water line in the bucket. you’ll see dead bugs and there shells from molting. Then the hair wow lots of hair that’s without inside pets outside is worse. We have horses so lots of hair around and sure enough stick in the buds.
I’ve washed buds before, and yes so much dirt, and junk comes out of it.
Joining the list of DIY-MTA-GTFO or whatever we’re calling it.
Little bastards. Will share my results in a week or two I think I’ll have everything by Thursday.
Mixed everything up, used spring water instead of distilled water because I forgot to grab it and the last ordered ingredient showed up. No chemistry-like explosions you read about. Doused everything with a pump sprayer. Will check back tomorrow and inspect, hit them again for the sake of it.
Coverage, incase anyone’s wondering;
I cut the ingredient list in half. Everything fit and mixed perfectly in a quart mason jar (y’all got one of those lying around?). Mixed 2 fl oz of concentrate per gallon of tap water, in a 1 gallon pump sprayer. uniformly wetted 3 flowering plants (week 3ish) in a 2x4, a few clones in a humidome, and a few moms in another 2x4 tent. Doused upwards and downwards all throughout the canopy, top/sides of pots, tent floor and walls, floor outside the grow tent, etc. Have 2/3 or more of a gallon left. One mason jar should do the odd indoor spray throughout the year, and my vegetable garden for the season.
Looking forward to your report on results.
I sat for 10 minutes turning leaves. Staring at carcasses. Can’t find any signs of life. Infestation was worse than I thought. Carcass presence lead me to spray again a second time assuming I missed eggs or whatever to be safe but 24 hour report is the basement napalm did its job. Will update this post if I see life anytime soon.
I sprayed an hour after lights on. Some signs of soapy residue on the leaves but no trauma to speak of.
Also I just got a prescription nasal spray yesterday and one of the ingredients is polysorbate 80.
I’m not a polysorbate 80 salesman or paid spokesperson
It saddens me to share I found signs of live mites this evening. First time since my initial treatment 5 days ago. Did a follow up treatment 4 days ago. Monitored last 3 days no signs of life. Not a substantial amount of life, but life in both tents for sure. Another heavy spray, extra spray on the soil tops assuming I missed eggs somewhere the first time.
I feel if it was aerosolized through an ozone generator or something similar, and really gas the room out, it would be a one and done for certain. With a pump sprayer in a well infested congested tent, it’s too easy to miss direct contact with every egg.
I will continue to fight the good fight and spray daily until I see ill effects of spraying.
I feel it’s worth adding I sprayed unrooted cuttings back to back days to no ill effect.
Mites are insidious critters. lol They can be anywhere, the lights ceiling, walls, floor, on the dirt or sides of pots. Even just outside the grow area. In some parts of the country, they’re at infestation levels even. You’ll probably need to do a spray once or twice a week for a long time to come. The only way you’re gonna beat em back and keep em at bay.
I lightly went into the weird spots the first times. I sprayed everything and everywhere this time. This is what I get for cloning my outdoor plant and bringing it inside without any kind of preventative spray. Lesson learned!
Hey @JohnnyPotseed Thank you for the recipe! I had a bad infestation of spider mites and those other mites (the ones like spider mites with tails like a scorpion) I forget what they were now. Lost everything and the battle against those mites. Going to use this going forward. Thank you!
It’ll damn sure kill them F’ers wherever they are! Glad to help out!
Yes this stuff is gold ! I can’t endorse it enough. Has brought Ina bunch of plants from outdoors this season - after a couple weeks thrips were confirmed and population was starting to take off. Did a once over spray - and then five more days did another. It’s been a few weeks - did a thourghall check just last night and - not a hint of pest life. Beautiful clean leaf undersides.
This stuff is a miracle - I have not found anything in my 20 years of growing comparable.
