BRO! lol You want ‘decisions’? I have seeds for 125 strains, Photoperiod, Autos, and my own crosses! Some not very many, some a good bit of. But, I gotta wait until this winter and spring to decide what to run! Also, there’s going to be quite a few more now that I’ve been hitting everything in sight with the PPP dust as well as the Sour60 pollen too!! So, I’m not looking forward to thatun!
I’ve just dusted the hell outta like 6-7 more strains of photos, and same in autos…
edit… I’m not crossing any photos and autos though…yet! I doubt that’ll happen, unless I get bored… (not likely) lol
These are the decisions that make all this interesting to me. I am, by nature, an inquisitive man. I’ll experiment with almost anything. My brothers have a multitude of stories to share because of that fact.
The manipulation of the genetics in these strains has my interest. That’s probably why I went with these crosses instead of a known strain. Trying to predict the unpredictable is cool to me.
I can relate there! lol I’ve been doing crosses all my life. It never gets old. There’s been some ‘bombs’ and there’s been some ‘OMGs’ and a lot of in between. But it never gets old! Grow On, bro!
But… lol When you DO make the decision and start your grow, I wanna see what ya decided on and how it goes cuz! I doubt you’ll have to bother tagging me, but do it anyhow…just in case I miss it!
edit… if they turn out anywhere near what ya got cooking now, it should be nice!
@MoBilly if you want to see what those C99 will potentially look like, check out @Floyd’s grow thread Floyds tent village - #255 by Floyd The ones I sent you are from the same breeder, PeakseedsBC.
After this next grow I’ll have, depending on how much Gelato I can hold on to, eighteen strains on hand to choose from day to day what I want to feel like.
@Oldtimerunderground, Thanks. I will bookmark that thread. It will prove useful no doubt.
Hey guys and gals!
Oh, and speaking of gals, I want to take a moment to thank you all for something. I have noticed that on this thread, my friends seem to “tone down” (for lack of a better phrase) their locker room speech.
For this I am grateful. I was raised old school. That means curbing my speech when around women and children. I know there’s no kids on here. Compared to me yeah, but not really “kids”. There are, however, friends of mine who follow this thread that are women.
I thank you for remembering and respecting that that guys.
Also, I am a spiritual man. I don’t bring that up because I don’t wish to alienate any friend, and this forum is not about that subject. Again, I’m old school. That means I know how to be friends (not just friendly) with people that have different opinions than my own.
I just wanted to let you all know that I noticed and appreciate you all.
Dang, I went on there.
Back on subject.
I have not dropped seeds yet, and this is why:
I’m allowed only six in veg.
I’ve never done regular seeds before.
I’m wanting to have six strains going, flowering at the same time.
What should I do? Maybe get one of each strain going and pop seeds as males show?
That means waiting at least 4 weeks and then dropping more seeds.
I’m hating the idiocy of this part of the way it’s set up in Missouri. @Eagles009@DougDawson@JohnnyPotseed@Slick1@LilJonB@Floyd@GREANDAL@Gpaw@Hemp@HaRdRoC
That’s tough man. I don’t see how you do 2 or 3 runs of seed to sex and flower at the same time. I would probably run 3 sets of 2, flower when you see sex. Then start the next run of 3 sets of 2 each. This way you will be setting up a nice perpetual and getting variety at the same time. You could do all 6, one each, long as your not particular about what flowers first. I wouldn’t hold those in veg for the next set though just flower em and drop 6 more to raise and sex.
Ok the biggest thing you have going for you here is that you mentioned you have multiple lights. This puts you ahead of the game for mishaps on a grow this small. If you pop 6 and 2 end up being male you have the option to drop two more seeds and then run those plants under different lights. That allows you some nice wiggle room. The lack of tents to separate if there’s different dark periods hurts though.
I grow small scale 3 - 5 generally and live or die by sex showing. I cull and pop new, a fast flowering auto would be a good option if harvesting as close as possible to your existing plants is important. Are you trying to do a season and take a break? If not a perpetual grow is pretty enticing and after doing seasons on and off I’m about to go that route. I have 2 tents that will allow me to run separate light cycles though so that makes the difference.
I agree on the post that popped up while I was typing this about staying within the rules. I would love to be legal and like it or lump it I wouldn’t push it either. Not worth the consequences when others can be and are thrown in prison for it.
I start looking from the start. In your first few weeks you can see signs. I’m not as good as I once was. With autos It happen so fast. Regs are slow. I mean you have a few days before you have to worry. Some growers will clone. I want. But when I get a regular female mother I’ll clone off each plant. When I see horns I’ll pull it. But @Eagles009 did some it was questionable to me.
@Slick1@Eagles009 , I do have a 3x3 built just on the other side of the wall from the big room. I could put that to use.
If I used that for a veg chamber do you think I could redirect my intake vents to vent both rooms.
I’d keep the RH controls in the flower room since the veg chamber RH isn’t as critical.
What do you guys think?
Autos are a bird of a different kind. I don’t have problems with good seeds. It’s when I get bad jeans. Mo you do a great job. I my self will run all stages in one room.
