Gosh that’s restrictive! Almost like they don’t want individuals breeding… Although that’s rather long sighted for a legislator. I think the 3 x 2 scenario works the numbers best in your favor.
I may be mistaken, or just missed it, but I don’t recall Eagles cloning an auto. Did I miss that @Eagles009 ?
I grow in tents now. I don’t see any thing wrong with that. It’s all about being clean. Using different air pressures in your tents can help. In your seed tent you definitely want the negative air flow. But like I said autos are something I love when someone else grows them. Regular plants take about 3 to 4 months plus dry time. Even longer.
To be honest. Don’t. Lol. I believe in a cycle. But with seed plants your playing with mistakes. I’m with @Eagles009 and @Slick1. @MoBilly I have been trying to make my own seeds for two years now. I make a lot of mistakes. It will cause set backs. I’m able to hang if I have back ups. This past year I didn’t. I had myself in a corner. I have tried to get seeds for years. I have never see seeds like this.
My little 2x2 is being vented with passive intake and a tiny little clip on mounted inside the tent pointed out a vent hole as the active exhaust. Doesn’t take much. I’ve ran my veg tent before without any exhaust. Just what I let in and out peeking at them a couple times a day.
Doesn’t take much light either. I’m running my 100 watt blurple on half power and it’s plenty to veg, but you know me I don’t veg very long.
Sounds like the move to me!
When I make seeds I’ll grow them just like a regular plant. I want a healthy plant. Not one just barely living. I would think the genetics would be the same. Would never give a bad seed to someone. Clones I’ll give you all day.
I’m not going for seeds on all these. I plan to pick one or two and pollinate with some of the magic dust from brother @DougDawson .
I understand. It takes me a minute. lol the Computer turned on.
@MoBilly its just so much reading here. I do miss the long grow journals. You have a good one. Most of the time I can’t find mine. You do a great job. You have many friends here. Much respect.
when i make seeds, my male is separated, pollen collected, then i use like a small paint brush on buds that normally would of been cut off, lolipopped sorta ahead of time, its so easy , you get many seeds, the good buds will be smoked. I also some times use sandwich bags, just sorta wipe it with pollen put it over one bud
loosely tie the open end, then kinda pat it some wait a few minutes take it off, maybe ive been lucky but it seems cannabis pollen is sneaky potent…forget to turn the fans off once if your doing it with a paint brush, see what happens.
Making seeds is a goal for me, kind of the point of OG really and a legit way of acquiring the strains I’m interested in. Of course I’d rather not have to wait a year but I’ve waited this long.
I’m sorry MO I just seen I’m muted on everything. Sorry didn’t see the tag.
Yea. I know this process. I grow them together. To the end. I have some starting soon. I grow big balls.
I could learn alot about male selection without lab assistance. I just chuck for the seeds for me. mostly seems everyone wants like open pollination and i go more selective route.
That’s how I would approach it. Hard to control pollen in a tent I would think.
Sorry. 55gall trash can. Is the best for making pollen. They are easy to make. A 20$ light from Home Depot with 3500k or so. A few holes with filters. Sorry been slow on this one. @MoBilly sorry I haven’t been my creative self.
Get your fan out of the old PC they work great
It’s about the air pressure if you use negative and then use positive in your other tents it can be done. But the trashcan you can put in your kitchen. Also you can run 12/12 from the start. I do 12/12 all the time. I don’t have the best crop. Like I said I don’t worry to much. Right now I am. It’s about the clock with me. One of my biggest flaws. I go by the clock. It messes me up. I need to slow down. I am after this.
This is my plan. After deciding which to pollinate, I’ll take her outside, place a baggie (with a breakable vial of pollen inside) over a branch. Then the girl gets a drenching. Then I’ll break the vial and give it a shake. Then take her inside and shake the bag once a day for 3-5 days (long enough to ensure pollination).
Then take her back outside for another bath. Then remove the bag and another shower to wash off excess pollen.
What do you think of this procedure? @GREANDAL
