The ADD thing

Very nice Adder stone!

Here’s the one I found by sheer will on a local fav beach. I sealed it with “nose grease” (aka: my own natural oils) and it hangs by my bedside to ensure a positive window into the unseen side of things

Hey @Bow4Buck
I have been wanting to show you this.

My neighbor is setting 150’ from my deer stand with the buck that jumped my fence. He walked 10’ from my stand, jumped the fence and twang. My neighbor popped him on opening day. This was two years back.
Taken with a bow DANG right?!!!

Thats a monster, and drop tine to boot. I’m looking to add a drop time to the wall. Had one here a couple years back but not pics or sightings of him last season.

@Bow4Buck . Bass Pro offered $3,000 for the head and he turned them down.

Lol, yeah I’ve often heard the head hunters come after those big boys…

I’m a meat hunter, but I would be hard pressed to pass up on him.

I do like deer. Rabbits and squirrels. I do like the younger animals or a female deer older is fine. I don’t really care for a big old buck but I’ll eat them. The meats a little strong how are usually make stew out of it and hamburger meat

You got to love deer meat spaghetti. White tail or mule deer? See some big ones.,

I’m ready to do some trading!!! Lol. I beat it is good. I haven’t had any in a few years. I’ll get a hold of some lamb and goat every once and awhile. Love some good old euros. Sorry if I’m spelling it wrong kebabs. I don’t know if I’ve learned to many different languages or what it is my spelling bad. I’m starting my fifth one a while back. I’m kind of messing up on it. It’s getting there

Never understood that. The head from someone else’s deer might be interesting but I wouldn’t want it on my wall unless there was a story that involved me or mine. I haven’t hunted since I moved and I may not. Elmer Fudd is everywhere up here. :joy:

I will say some of the deer here are enormous. Like elk with sharp racks.

Yeah even the big ole.boys ain’t bad here. They are all corn fed. I usually hang em 5-7 days before butchering them. Cant tell the difference from a young one to an old one. Even the best beef is aged a bit.

I have eaten deer several times. Has a funny weird taste to me. Maybe the way it was cooked. Just tasted shitty. Can’t describe it. Not beef tasting at all. Maybe because it has very little fat in it???

They wanted to hang it in the Springfield Bass Pro Mall. They put a plaque under it with the hunters name and general info about the hunt.

Venison, if cooked past medium rare, takes on the taste of liver. You are correct. Overcooked venison is nasty. That would be my guess as to why its flavor was off.

I agree with overcook part he gets all stringy it does have an aftertaste

I don’t like it stewed like that and then they will try to do the country style Brunswick stew with it it ruins the entire stew.
