Alright, I’m finally getting around to some shit here. As I mentioned, to put a bow on where this thread dropped off here are some bud shots of the bubba and the 2nd round of urkle:
All the notes you’ve heard are supposed to be there: coffee, chocolate, earth. Love the effects on this one. Shortly after it finished I took it with me on a trip to Maine with a buddy to fly fish for salmon. I spent the whole time we were there smoking pretty much just bubba day and night and it was so pleasant and comfy in terms of effects. It really helped balance out all the mushrooms we were eating
Notes of grape Flintstones vitamins, earth, baby powder, stone fruit etc. etc. I coaxed out some more weight overall and some slightly better structure on some of the buds, but she’s still a dinosaur, very leafy. Very nice sedative effects although I can and have over served myself a few times and gotten the Stoney shivers: feel like a need to curl up u see a blanket for a while.
I think for the most part that ties up where I was when we last spoke. After that round I did however execute my first breeding project. I went ahead and flowered out all the female cuts that I had in small containers and hit them to the Good Medicine male that I have been holding since I did that F3 project. The list of crosses is below:
Gm4 x Urkle
Gm4 x Bubba Kush
Gm4 x Blue Dream
Gm4 x M.O.B
Gm4 x Old Soul
Gm4 x Chem91
Gm4 x Gm5
I also took some of the pollen to a couple branches of the plants I was running outdoors this summer: Gm4 x Niben (local VT breeder’s personal cut of his Friesland x God Bud) and Gm4 x Hill Rich, which is a Rebel Grown Headband cross, I think with his OG Chem that he selected for outdoors here in VT. The seeded plants are still all hanging here in the basement. Once I’m done processing all my outdoor I’ll get to shucking to see what I’ve got in terms of volume, I’m hopeful there’s a good number of each cross since I kept the plants deliberately small, but we’ll see what we end up with. That pretty much brings us up to current. As we speak now I’m rooting clones of everything for a reset of the mom tent. I just dumped and reammended all of my used soil a couple weeks ago and reset my earth boxes in the 3x3. The plan is to run out the Chem91 for flower, since I’ve yet to do that since getting the cut, and then to also run the Gm5 for flower since I’m out of my head stash of that for a little while now. I’ll get photos of all of that up here shortly, lights just went out in the tent as I’m typing this. But yea, that’s the story so far, future plans are sort of up in the air at the moment. I really want to start cracking more seeds, especially to look through some of these crosses I made, but with a full veg tent of elite clones I’m torn, I don’t necessarily want to let anything go, and I feel an obligation to hold onto cuts that were shared with me, but I can’t really crack anything new without doing so. So in the meantime it’s just sort of jog in place until I can make up my mind about next steps. I’m hoping g by running everything for flower once or twice I can get a sense of what I might be able to live without and clear out some space.

Current state of the grow:
Veg/Mom tent. Everyone in here just recently got their legs shaved. We’re coming off a slightly neglectful period where everyone was looking pretty bummed out. The MOB and the Chem91 were the worst of the bunch for a minute there. The MOB really does want to flower when she’s root bound; farmerjoe mentioned that when I got her. And the Chem91 just seems to be a miserable plant, always eating herself and perpetually either growing insanely in all directions at once, or dying in on herself. It’s possible that it’s just my style or setup doing it to her but I’ve spoken with other growers that agree that she’s a pain in the ass all around in the ways I’m seeing for them too. Both of these two got up-potted to 5 gals ahead of this most recent round of cuts to get them both healthy. All the others were able to rebound in their 1 gal grow bags. This whole tent is headed for a reset once clones root. Everything except the Urkle, who grows so slow that I think she can live another couple months in a 1 gal with some supplemental feeds. Slow growers have their own value guys!! Haha.
Flower tent here currently acting as the clone room. Earthboxes just got refilled. I had about three totes of old soil that I finally dumped and re-amended this fall in one big batch. Gave everything a chance to cook and cool off and then refilled these things last weekend. I’m trying my hand at cloning in soil here for the first time, mostly because I was out of root root plugs. These things have been bumming me out despite my success with them. I’ve had a hell of a time keeping clones happy in them for the full time it takes to get them popping roots. Generally by the time they’re ready to go into soil they’re yellow and sickly looking. I’m always able to get them back to healthy once they’re transplanted, but not without them looking like they took a beating. I’m going to see if cloning in soil can keep them happier for the whole time it takes them to be ready, we’ll see how it goes. I also hate the fact that those root riot plugs NEVER break down in the soil, not sure what that’s about. If this doesn’t work out for me I’ll likely look into coco coins or something to split the difference between the two methods.
Like I mentioned before (i think) the next move for the flower tent is a run of the Chem91 and my Good Medicine #5. I need to see some of the chem in flower form to know if it’s worth the trouble to keep the cut or not. I did flower her earlier for the seed run I mentioned, but she was in a small pot and seeded early so I don’t feel like it was a good representation. I’m excited and anxious to see what it puts out, if it really is as rad as everyone says it is it feels like it’s going to be a long slog to keep her as a happy mom. I’ll plan to update and kind of reset here when all that goes down, I can’t quite figure out how to rename this thread here, not sure if that’s possible or preferred anymore. If not I may just start a new thread and link to it here, more to come on that I guess when everything gets going. As we speak I have one of the chem cuts that’s dropped roots out of the cup, so I’ll I’m waiting on is one of the GM5s and we’re in business. That’s it for now, be good yall 
Hey bud, I wanted to thank you again for the Good Medicine f3s. Grew some a couple rounds ago and the wife and I really enjoyed it. Still have one plant from that seed pop that I still need to run. The effects and candied pineapple smell/taste will definitely have me revisit.
I’m still using your bag technique for clones and have seen significant improvement in the overall health of clones since using Clonex clone solution. Clones seem to root faster, also.
Hell yeah! We be fishing! My oldest and I get out every chance we get. He’s got the bass fever! Teach them well!

Crunch! That’s awesome man, I’m so glad you and your lady enjoyed those. She’s definitely a staple in my garden. Really cool to hear that those terps come through in the F3 seed too. I had been calling em “Hawaiian Punch” flavors but I like the “candied pineapple” too, that hits it right on the head. It’s edifying to see other heads here find merit in that line, I’m really excited to see what some of the outcrosses look like with that GM4 male I used, I’m particularly interested in the MOB cross. The effects on the pure MOB have been very similarly pleasant to the GM5 female; super calm and relaxing, and the chocolate blueberry smell/flavor is super nice too. The MOB has a way stronger branch structure than the GM plants do so I’m thinking if any of those traits ingress nicely with the good medicine there might be something really cool to pull out of that cross. I just gotta clear out some space now to pop some of those seeds. Depending on how many I get from the seed plant that’s hanging j might have a handful to share to see if someone else wants to hunt something out of em
