Mumen Ryder's Mini Tents

The bricks definitely have junk in them. Chunks of who knows what :joy:

When I soaked mine, I did it in a giant fabric pot to allow some of the smaller particles/dirt/salt to drain as well… Sort of forgot about that part…

So far I would have to agree!

I’m guilty of buying the cheapest coco bricks
I don’t do anything fancy, just hot water so they soak quicker coz I’m impatient
Then I fill my fabric pots up and leave them out in the rain til I need em
Hose em off good
Put em right into the blumat system

I’m no Master grower, pretty much a noob but I have also used fancy coco and done all the prep work and mixed in perlite and amended with calcium and mag and honestly I don’t think the ladies even noticed the difference
Now I just run %100 shit brick coco coz it’s cheaper

I forgot to mention that I did mix 50/50 with heavily rinsed perlite… I’m hoping this gives me more flexibility to water frequently even if the plants don’t need it.

@lefthandseeds mentioned to me that in small pots the roots will get really compacted without something like perlite, so in my case it seemed like a good case to use it.

Perlite amount seems to be flexible from 0-50+% depending on what system it’s going into.

Happy Halloween OG! :japanese_ogre: :japanese_goblin: :ghost:

Miracle on LITFA street

So I previously mentioned all my clones didn’t root and I accidentally knocked some out of order.
I basically left them in the tent to die for like 2 weeks…
Somehow not only are they fine, but they all rooted… AND I was able to basically separate out the section that got knocked over and it wasn’t any of the plants I care about anyways.

So… we are go for keeping some moms for possible pollen collection based on the results of the current grow.

Tents are a jungle:

A nice purple Durban Poison, which I guess happens sometimes with Dutch Passion’s Durban:

Need light panels for walls :joy: Seriously making me second guess running sativa dominant genetics next round. Nice looking grow :+1:t4:

Really a lot more could be done to make this manageable… I’m running a plant density that honestly is way overkill. Less plants, top them and then train them with tying down and you could grow just about anything in a 2x2 IMO

Finally forced myself to go through the jungle in the tents and “weed out” any plants that didn’t look great.

I ended up removing about 8 of 24.

I decided which plants were worth keeping clones of, and potted those clones up, marked them, and threw the rest out:

The next round of removal will be after smoke tests.

Plants were marked when potted:

The Strawberry Cough plants from Dutch Passion are not as consistent as their Durban. They are all stretchy and branchy as heck though. Threw a few out that had small slowly forming flowers. Kept a couple with large slowly forming flowers. That tent is still a jungle, despite losing 5 plants and more defoliation:

A lot of the clones were flowering for some reason which is worrisome… I did take clones during stretch so I don’t know if that is the problem. Many of them only had a few tiny little roots… So I’m not sure how that will go, but I have plenty of time until I will need anything from them so hopefully they can sort themselves out.

They’ll start to flower if their root bound possibly the reason they did that.

Definitely possible in this case. They were in 1.5 inch cubes for like a month… Hopefully I can get them back into veg mode

Harvested 3 of the Durban, done at 53 days.
A few of the Durban are slower, but have really nice coloring.

Tent feels pretty empty now after partial harvest and some serious pruning of all larf:

Sometimes it not to bad. I think the monster cola is sweet. Plus you got a few flavors. They look tasty. I think you did a great job.

Thanks man! Still at least a few weeks to go for some but I’m looking forward to trying a bunch of these for sure

Been busy but my first cross project still going well.

Did snap a picture of the remaining 2 plants in tent 1. Colas are huge! Both are Royal Queen Power Plant. They smell a lot like Durban, and are very fragrant.
