My Bodhi Dreadbread F1 OP

Yeah @Cbizzle I definitely plan to use Oaxacan as a mom in some crosses I plan on creating, but first I want to F2 them.

Probably will do the same thing with the Panamanian Space Probe seeds too. I’d love to share these rarer Bodhi varieties with the community, I know they aren’t easy to find plus if you can find them they aren’t cheap to say the least.

I hate how expensive some genetics are these days, which is why I feel it’s the “responsibility” of people like myself who have a decent collection to F2 as many discontinued rare packs as possible to give back to the community. In a way at least lol.

I’ve only been here since mid November, but I can’t even say how many packs and good genetics were shared with me for free, so this year and next I’ll be doing seed runs alternating with my flower runs so I have enough smoke still but also keep working on preservation and sharing some of these awesome genetic lines!

I’m not really in a time and place where I can keep a bunch of mom plants so I throw a little pollen around EVERY run. I can see doing alternating runs for sure, but don’t be afraid to do some judicious selective pollination every time. It won’t ruin your sensi, spare a bud or three. For cost of seeds I get you 100%. I’ve spent a small fortune at the hobby  Totally worth it in my opinion.

I was wondering about that one. I haven’t seen any grows of it. Good to know.

I went digging through jars and bags in the fridge this morning in order to pull out a pack for someone… I wish I had a heated space so I could grow year round. Sure I have a list, but seeing them is different.

@Cbizzle I’ve been trying to do this too but I need to learn more about proper pollen storage so I don’t have to always grow a dad out (I prefer reversing females so I know exactly the genetics being contributed and so I have feminized seed which saves future time/space). Do you have any tips or can you point me to any resources that are the best for this? I tried freezing with flour once and it didn’t work, not sure what I did wrong.

I don’t have alot of experience but the pollen I have has been viable for a year.
Dry pollen to 20% humidity or less for a few days.
Put pollen in cryovial inside pelican case with a 50g silica pack.
Put in the fridge.
That’s what I have done. Each time the vial is opened the pollen seems to lose some viability. My humidity is 70%+ where I live though.

Sorry, don’t mean to hijack but I don’t think my trust level isn’t at a level where I can DM people yet. Thanks so much for this advice. How do you dry to below 20% when relative humidity in your house or wherever is higher? And how do you know it’s below 20%?

All good brother I love discussing things like this too you’re not hijacking at all man it’s relevant ! @Franklin

Sent you a DM. But I’ll post here as well.
I dry the pollen in an open container, In a pelican case with another 50g silica pack. I have a wifi hygrometer in the pelican case and can watch the humidity levels. It drops fast but I leave it there for at least a few days to dry before putting it in a vial and then inside another pelican case(pollen only) for storage in the fridge.

Totally what @Slammedsonoma420 says. Dry it, fridge it. Dry is ultra key as is how many times you take it out to use. Suggest saving in individual servings as opposed to altogether. That way you can take some out to use leaving the rest in the fridge for later use.

Also not threadjacking. Only here because of @Weednerd.Anthony impeccable taste in cannabis varietals. :v:

Several of us have kept viable pollen for a year+ and used it successfully.
I think that could be stretched even further.

The process is straight forward, collect and desiccate the pollen and package. For long-term storage, freeze it.

Cheers

I’ve been looking for those

Grabbed these from a buddy not too long ago. Came in the mail on Thursday. Now between these and my recently acquired pack of Dank Sinatra, I’m sure to get some La Affie dominant phenos.

I’m jumping out of my skin waiting for space to pop some Bodhi gear! I should probably start narrowing down which varieties out if all of these gems that I want to run first lol.

Not Bodhi’s work or anything, but Strayfox is awesome and I only have this pack from him so far, so I won’t make a thread for his gear that I grow unless I start getting a lot more of his gear.

Anyone who knows how limited and how good these are, will understand I was willing to pay nearly anything for these lol :joy:

I have no idea how limited they are, but Stray puts out some awesome gear. Maybe keep an eye out for herms, somebody on here had an issue with a different Stray line (maybe in an HPK related plant?)

The forest queen I tried was pretty good stuff you should enjoy it :call_me_hand:

I’ve only grown one pack from Stray and it was his Skunk Trails, did real well outdoors. half p a plant . I got only one other pack of his and that’s his GogiBerry Lights which is all Bodhi work (NL5 newf x TOK x Ronnie Barrett). As I understand it, his Ronnie Barrett crosses are all great. It was a male plant picked out of 40 of Bodhi’s Tranquil Elephantizer Remix x Gogi OG

So I pulled the trigger on some more Strayfox gear since back when I posted those Starfighter F2’s.

Been eyeing many other strains too, so as you see, Strayfox gear might be my next new addiction, as he seems to often work with countless Bodhi strains, some popular stuff, some strains I’m not familiar with, and plenty of older classics too.

I probably have purchased 20 packs of Strayfox gear this month alone.

He makes so many great lines it’s pretty hard to choose most of the time what I want first.

Hey guys!

It’s been a while, have mainly been on to make sure I don’t miss any great giveaways but I have been so busy, so I have been on here a bit less than before.

My work schedule has been a bit heavy because I’m trying to get some extra money if I can to keep funding a few more extra expenses I don’t necessarily need, like my seed addiction.

Anyone hear about Berner getting sued by investors? Crazy stuff if you read up on it a little. Hopefully whether it’s true or not or anything, it has little to no effect on Bodhi both money wise, breeding wise, etc.

Recently I’ve been on a Strayfox kick and have bought a few packs of his stuff.
