My doctor forgot

EDIT: In my stoned attempt to add to the conversation it could appearthat I’m suggesting Calmaid for benzo withdrawal. I am not. I was saying that it had good results for some extreme anxiety. I am suggesting that it be used instead of benzo’s for some people. Such as my son and myself.

Original post:
I know of another option. My son has social anxiety and gets panic attacks. He isn’t fond of pills. So his psychiatrist suggested Calmaid. It’s lavender.

Hang on. I hear ya loud and clear. How could lavender really help.

Well it’s effects have been compared to klonapin.
I was in Walmart a few months ago on a Saturday with hubby. It was crowded af as usual. I was done in my head. I sent him down an aisle and I leaned up against a meat cooler and waited. I felt funny. So I started paying attention to my body. My heart was a little faster, breathing was kinda quick and shallow. Holy fuck. I think this is a panic attack. Quickly flipped into let’s calm the fuck down mode. Started deep breathing in through the nose out the mouth. In no time I was able to continue shopping. I think that if I had still been walking around I wouldn’t of noticed my panic attack.

My point. This stuff really does work for anxiety.
I’ve had a couple of really bad days where I took my normal one in the morning and then one later when more shit hit the fan. I’m posting a pic so you can see what it is and see how many I’ve bought.
I also take magnesium and calcium. 800mg mag 600mg cal twice a day.

Phenibut might help stave off withdrawal symptoms but really you’re just gonna need to call the dr and get them to put it in for you. Benzo wd can be lethal.

My mom loves these, doesn’t help me worth a damn. But I love big hits of heady sativa to calm down, if she tried that it wouldn’t work for her.

I will never tell someone something doesn’t work outright, because even if the placebo effect is what’s helping, leave it alone. That said, it is irritating to be researching tons of information and having to weed through wife-tales and charlatans. It’s exhausting to go to the effort of getting some uncommon thing, only to find it doesn’t help. But if I ever found something so simple and effective I would share it with the world too.

That said, there is serious danger to Benzo withdrawals. Glad the kid doesn’t like pills- he will be less tempted to eat them like candy. Keep him off high doses to avoid it ever becoming a problem, it’s really hard to fix it once it starts.
