What this guy said. Also, water gets everywhere when you grow. Spills, foliar sprays, etc. Shit, I’d do Kilz over the whole shebang, paint, and finish with a couple coats of poly for easier cleaning/water resistance. It looks sunny there, maybe you’re in the West where humidity isn’t a concern, IDK. You don’t seem to have much in the way of insulation, again, unsure about your local weather/climate.

I don’t know if you are dead set on 80/20 coco/perlite but I have had far better results with 50/50. Once it gets going coco is great, but in the beginning Coco does weird shit with pH and CEC at first. It’ll drop pH like a rock while also absorbing massive amounts of Ca and Mg, you’ll be chasing pH and trying to correct deficiencies the first few weeks when you could be watching plants grow. The perlite balances the weird shit coco does.

Perlite has a higher pH, no CEC, and an airier structure. You cannot over-water 50/50 coco/perlite. Even top-shelf coco like bagged Canna behaves like this. Coco wasn’t really a thing in the early 2000’s, just trying to set you up for success.

Thank you. It is great to be back in the OG community. I used the old OG from 99-03 for my stealth grows during a break in service. It is great to be back!!!

Thank you. I ordered reflective insulation board to be delivered sometime next week. I will definitely revisit my coco/perlite proportions. :v:

Any updates to post?

I grew out one of those strains…
Fastbuds Green Crack Auto - meh… nothing special.
Plus:
Mephisto Sour Hound Auto - very different growth with “plump” vegetation. This had a really nice aroma and flavor, but the effects weren’t anything special.

I was buying singles of a variety of strains to find something that worked well for me, but found that “singles” will only show you a “single” phenotype. I suppose I could have selfed some of these to see if other phenos would appear… didn’t know how to do that back then.

I’d be interested in seeing how these grew for you and if you did a “smoke report” on any of them
