yes Santa Marta Colombian gold right?
Yes sir, they’re looking good
I have ran lots of the critical cookies all have bin good smoke always have hard nugs indoors can’t wait to see has she does outdoor thanks for keeping me in the loop
All looking good!
You’ve got alot going on.
so here’s a pick of my 2 nanans one is showing heavy foxtailing from the extreme heat.
making vermipost for the first time! @teddynuggets thanks for the pump recommendation cause I have no worries about dead spots in my brew lots of power. I will be asking you questions very soon once I see how this run of vermipost goes.
so these 2 littllittle buggers were planted at the same time as the nanan in previous pic. Somehow I’ve mastered stunting seedlings in solos especially the sativas. I’m sure @upstate probably remembers this happening to me last year. Anyways 5 days ago I up potted from solo to .75gal and these 2 have started to grow properly. Hopefully I can get them to a good size in the next 3-4 weeks so I can get them outside.
I almost forgot these are Oaxacan from string of pearls pheno made by @deeez99 fingers crossed I get 1 female out of these 2.
@pigeonman these jalisco are growing like a weed!
@lovedaautos the cap junky is coming along nicely just not as fast as the jalisco
Look at this plant go! She is a halley berry clone from @justanobody and I’ve never gotten a plant this big or healthy in a solo.
So my big momma 90s kush is recovered from transplant and root mass loss nicely.
Halle Berry is a grower for sure, feed her and she stays happy. She’s looking great, nice job. She’s going to take off at each up pot too.
good to know thanks! Are any of the cuts you sent Nutella sensitive at all? I haven’t pushed it yet everything getting about 25% strength nutes.
Remind me what I sent?
You can kick Halle Berry up for sure.
From my experience growing Cap Junky the strain is easy to grow. Just give it plenty of medium to spread out her roots and they grow well.
Looking good brother! In the other thread you mentioned plants hanging on…or similar…(I’d guess from that gross heat).
I’ve noticed that some plants thoroughly wilt during the day to conserve moisture. These plants( Joe Pye Weed) are in the ground with plenty of moisture. That’s just what they do. Soon as the sun goes down they look healthy as can be. I noticed the Oaxaca in the shade looks happier. I wouldn’t worry about it and she looks like she’s handling it… the only defense you could possibly have is a larger pot = larger root system, but then the plant will catch up to the pot size… and you’ll have a bigger plant to water…
If I have a big plant outdoors during a " heat wave", every few days I’ll literally dip the whole entire fabric container in a tub of water and let it sit there to get thoroughly drenched. Heres why. During our “heat waves” ( I’m almost embarrassed to call it that )It’s like no matter how much I water at night I can’t thoroughly soak that root ball once it gets dry the first time. Sometimes I’ll Water heavy twice and it still doesn’t do the trick. When I’m done watering or when I think I’m done I’ll pick up that container and if it still feels light It has almost becomes or did become water repellent. If they get like that on you it’s time to dunk them. Too bad we couldn’t average the two temperatures out along with the moisture levels between our locations😁 it’s 58 and rainy here.
Nice job with Miss purps in that solo cup. She’s a looker.
I feel ya @420noob I have these four Oaxacan that just never bounced back from being in their seedling tray too long and this heat from hell has slowwwed everything down quite noticeably. I’m going to pot them up one more time and move them into a more shaded area to see how they respond.
Your plants look like they have a better chance at rebounding and I’m hoping you get one of those female SOP plants for some really enjoyable smoke!
Thanks me too I got one last year from @upstate repro seeds and it was enh. To it’s defense I didn’t know what I was doing, stressed the shit of it and self pollenated from a few nanners probably from said stress. Im hoping I’ll get at least a decent one to see the smokie goodness.
@upstate thanks for the dunk idea that totally makes sense and yep had that same issue with pots water twice but is still light. Fabric pots are ssoooo much cooler than plastic. I have tiny autos in full sun 3gal fabric no problems. The ones not well you see lol. I need to get the smcg cooler I have it in a pot that’s in another ceramic pot.
@justanobody you sent black widow, Romulan, bbm x bb, Halley berry, gmo, M of B that’s all the tag says lol I can look it up if you don’t remember. None of the bbm x bb rooted but rest are doing ok. They all been transplanted to .75gal pots so in about a week or so I’ll share pics some are look rough. I have no problem admitting it just don’t like documenting it lol. Ya it’s vain but it is what it is.
M of B is mother of berries aka MOB.
All of those can eat pretty good, MOB doesn’t need a ton though.
Well buddy then you have mastered the first step. The second step is stunting them and keeping them happy, too. I really can’t handle keeping plants in the same container and keep them happy. I’m not very good at judging feed. When I transplant into new containers several times it makes me look like I know what I’m doing lol. Its an illusion, lol. I just got good at spotting when they are becoming unhappy, and I’ve been working at eliminating a couple transplants I normally do, so far with success. It’s never a straight road when you’re learning something new. Always some curves you didn’t expect. I grew in the soil in the ground for 25 years so for me to switch to container farming was a big jump. Your plants look better than mine did the first couple years I was doing it and I really think a lot of what my problems were had to do with hot containers and my inability to soak the inner soil. Switching to fabric was a game changer. When I used to water heavy in pots during the daytime it’s like that outside water would reach the boiling point and actually steam the roots along the periphery. In a pot most of the roots are around the outside edge, so if they cook, you are losing half the plant’s( sunny side of pot)ability( or more)to process nutrients. When I started using t-shirts or rags as mulch that helped alot, but it wasn’t until switching to fabric that the plants became truly happy. When you dunk fabric it’s still dries out rather quickly. When you dunk a pot it drenches the roots and it doesn’t dry out before the containers heat up, “steaming” the roots.
I’m guilty too brother!
You’re welcome man! Glad it’s working out for you. And yes, feel free to ask me questions any time you want! I’ll do my best to answer. Not guaranteeing it’ll be the right answer though…
Grabbed a pic of the ‘92 OG mother. Been a very easy plant to o keep healthy so far (knock on wood! lol)
Can’t wait to get this strain into flower!
Cool thanks! Ya that 90s is just a gem of a plant! I’ve flowered out 5 or 6 and have tortured many of them with great results. The one I just transplanted into 7gal fabric lost half root mass looked pissed for 3 days and is cooking with gas. New leaf growth every 2 days!
Thanks for the words @upstate I think all my gardening is gonna have to go to fabric.
