My first pollen chuck fem autos

I’m just wondering but are you sure you need to pollinate all 3? Maybe just a branch on each. When I pollinate my females(not autos) I do a single branch and end up with about 200 seeds a branch. Just in case you didn’t want 10k seeds.

Good question, I’ve got a few reasons why slammed.

This being my first time doing this and not knowing if the reversal will even take or it if will produce a good amount of pollen I’m opting to let the male get as large as possible and shake the shit out of him inside with the ladies to really get the pollen on them. Since I didn’t start my reversal ahead of the other plants I’m not exactly sure how many seeds I’ll get. From what I’ve read the more mature and hairs in mid flower the more seeds you’ll have.

Plus I’d love to locally give away as many seeds as possible for people to throw outside in hopes of getting more people outside and gardening as a hobby. wish these 3 plants would give me 20k seeds if it was possible.

Slam I’ll try that next time . For now lots of seeds to give out. I have some reversal spray in the fridge and I’ve never tried it. I guess I’m a bit intimidated and am not 100% on when to use and how many sprays do I give to her?

This is another thing I need to find out before I proceed.
Which auto should start first? I’m only reversing one to “self”, collect pollen, and pollinate the other.
The “only a branch or two” method was a thought of mine. It would produce a lot of seeds, and then also leave viable flowers on the pollinated girl. But I really only aim to have to do this particular specimen once, and have seeds for life. With countless giveaways too of course.
And my good hell man! Can you imagine shucking 10-20k seeds?!?
I don’t think we know what we’re getting into, lol.

I probably should have started my reversed plant a week or two ahead of the others. But im going to learn things right now take notes and if i do it again ill have a better reference point.

That would be a damn process shucking that many seeds lol. I’ve got a big wood shop I might make one of those vacuum powered seed separators.

Having people drop in and follow along are definitely motivating me to stay on top of this project and keep updating it. :call_me_hand:

Learning from my project I suggest starting the treatments around 2 and a half- 3 weeks. The nodes aren’t gonna completely pollen sacks out so u should still get selfed seeds too from the treated plants even if u treat the whole plant(all growth nodes not leaves)

Yes all seeds will be feminized ( male is xy, female is xx) since your ladies ur flipping don’t have a y chromosome present in the genetics the offspring won’t either which will be all females xx

If your only doing the 4 plants and going for most seeds possible then leave the other 3 untouched and pick ur best most vigorous as your “stud”. No sense flipping them too and taking up the space u could have seed filled calyx being pollen sacks.

Im flipping all 3 of mine cuz they got 60 plants to pollenate but still expect some selfed seeds from my “studs”

Thanks for the heads up Az. I’m going to start at week two. I’m going to switch to STS spraying vs the collodial silver I’ve been using. I’m 3 weeks into spraying a wifi43 x triangle kush and I have zero signs of reversal so far. Sts seems to really stack the pollen sacks faster and it’s alot less spraying.

3 weeks and nothing huh? These appeared for me after 2 weeks so maybe it is a better method 🤷 that 3rd plant not showing any signs of coming back around either

Ya from what I heard from the breeder he said the triangle kush and its hybrids don’t like to reverse at all.

Two more weeks and I’ll start spraying 1 plant. Plants coming right along.

Hmm interesting, I’d imagine since it’s a chemical reaction blocking ethylene it wouldn’t have mattered the cultivar but maybe that plant just doesnt produce much to begin with? I’m no scientist but I do find that interesting. One thing that was mentioned to me that made perfect sense and something I should have considered is starting the “stud” from seed 2 weeks before the rest. That would have been genius in my project too!

You mean self the male, and grow his seed 2 weeks before the rest?

Ya like with my project I should have germinated the creme de la chems 2 weeks before popping all the rest

Interesting man, thanks for that. I’m soaking in all this info
