My first time

I will germinate one more seed, and will get back to you guys after 40 days.

I’ve been following along and wanted to say that I really enjoyed your first grow. You got much further along than I did on my first. I germinated a seed, and once my seedling came up, two days later, it lived for 3 days.

Never give up. It took me several tries to get a harvest. You will look back and laugh at this someday. It’s just a step on the journey my friend.

Thanks man.

One think I learnt for sure - don’t try to be smart ass if you aren’t lol. I was thinking about adding worm cast and adding vinegar, while everything was going just fine. It was just good without anything extra.

Lesson learnt.

Damn she went downhill fast :slightly_frowning_face: what’s happening with the soil, has it dried out too much? I have seen my plants look worse on occasion and still pull through.

If the soil is just to dry, give her some water and put her in the shade for a bit, like G-man said, If you want to keep trying with her.

Looks like something had a go at it and snapped the top off, no different to topping it really.

So is the PH meter not working right or not working at all? The cheap ones are not so good, I went through 3 in 8 months until I got a decent one, which is working well 2 years on, not even needed re calibration.

Aww that’s a heartbreaker. I hope you can revive her.

I have put one seed into the water already. So I will germinate one more for sure. My question is, in late November, it will still living her veg stage. What will happen in that case? Can it live one full year so I can harvest next year?

If you are in an equatorial region your daylight hours should be the same roughly all year. What part of the year would you consider to be winter and how many hours of light per day do you get max and min a year ?

Looking back on your grow the plants were lacking nitrogen real light in color . It’s real hard to over water if your medium / soil has good drainage . With the right food you could grow in gravel . Don’t give up its a learning curve . I keep my plants moist and never allow to dry out from start to finish .

Sorry if this is a repeat but are you trying organic as much as possible in this grow? If you using organic with bottles nutes the plant may be getting confused to what it’s getting and probably will be unhappy to me looks like the media needs lightened up bit also

In winter I can get minimum of 7 hours of daylight. Maximum 10 hours of daylight.

But in December the temp falls down to 10C. And I don’t know if that is dangerous for the plant.

@gramps I believe I have waited too long and let it dry completely. In the future I will keep it moist too. But I was just afraid that I can get the root rots and etc.

@Tinytuttle yes sir.

Wow, that’s not so good, even your photo plants will be like autos, and start flowering as soon as they hit sexual maturity.

What about autos outdoor ? maybe large pots or bags with a short growing season seems to be the way to go .

I am actually looking for them. I purchased from serious seeds twice, so can’t spend anymore on seeds. Little broke. Some good peeps sent me over seeds, but they are all regulars and still they didn’t arrive, even tho they were shipped a month ago or more.

But I would love to have autos, because they have short term life cycle, so I would have something to enjoy sooner.

I just wanna let you guys know that all my seeds germinated straight down, but not curved. All the time.

I don’t know if you know the secret of it, but I just hang the sandwich bag, so all the water goes down, while the seed stays moist, but not soaked.

And the tap roots goes all the way down only, and doesn’t curve.

Hey bud just a quick hello and some encouragement to keep on growing. I’ve killed lots of plants over the years and still do 35 years into it. You’re filling up a toolbox of knowledge and things will get much easier. Make sure you get on the preservation threads too. The genetics running around here are world class!!!

Thank you @Jjm appreciate that. My other seed has spouted already. Today is the day 2.

Will come back here after 38 days to continue where we have stopped at.

Keep posting about the restart! Every plant is unique and you might run into some different issues.

Best vibes bro. You’re getting it. We all fought and still fight to not screw things up. Unfortunately that part doesn’t totally go away in my case… lol. That’s a cool observation with the seed starting. I would’ve never thought of that. They understand gravity! peace

@pufferfishfiend yes sir.
@GMan yup, I learn it from serious seeds. Simon created this technique.

Just cut a Coca Cola bottle, and place on the cup. This time cup is bigger, and dipper. The plant just loves this cup and humidity in it.

But I kinda feel like it needs some wind to strengthen the stem, because it is starting to bend just a tiny bit.

What’s your opinion on it?
Comparing to my previous plant, this plant is a lot taller for its days.
