My first time

I know she ain’t big, but hey I live in Asia, tiny skinny ones are trending here. But really we just came out of 14 day straight shower rain.

Day 33.
This is white widow auto fem from seriousseeds.

And remember this brown taproots seeds? Tosed them into the dirt. Got 2 out of 3.

She is sitting there, majestically. This is my biggest plant so far. I did so much abuse to her, but she is doing good. Look! I made it.

Day 36.
I watered it with pH 5.6- 5 7. Don’t know if this is the right thing to do.

I wanna take all bottom leaves off. But they all have some sort of bud appearing there. So what should I do?

You should water her with a pH range from 6.2 to 6.6 more or less, no need to trim those leaves, they are like solar panels to help with photosynthesis…

Oh wow, didn’t know that. I thought some lower pH helps with access to nutrients. Considering I bought my pH drops and meter only a week ago, I was watering with tap water left overnight, I thought soil pH might went up a bit. Anyway. Good to know that. Guess I was wrong.

I watched on YouTube they trim the bottom leaves, so that the plant will concentrate on top parts of it. And helps with air circulation… whats your opinion on that?

Whats gonna happen to my plant now with 5.6 pH? Will it have some kinda burn?

Hello @Gpaw ,

I germinated 5 seeds with H2o2 3% mixes with water 1x2 ratio. Made 1% of h2o2 overall.

I noticed there are little bubbles surrounding my seeds. Are they normal ?

Yup, normal.
H2O2 is water with an extra oxygen along. That oxygen is weakly attached, it’s looking for the right opportunity to ‘jump ship’. So no surprise they pair up and enough of them will make a bubble.
That’s how the stuff is useful, that atomic oxygen is a strong oxidizer and live organics are easy prey but the germinating bean is not harmed (ish, maybe…)

So it’s not a cure-all but it tips the Balance in our favour.

Pick up some super soil and a autopot setup and your work will be minimal with good results.

George, I wonder if you noticed the leaves sort of curled up a little bit like tacos. Is it normal ?

Normally it’s because of heat stress, I don’t know your conditions though, no worries …

Quick update @Gpaw , you were right. H2O2 helped. Taproots are white as a ghost. Got 3 out of 5. But I keep my seeds in an open space on the wardrobe… So I assume blame on me.

Just found out that my fertilizer had mixed of every npk. So I am buying potassium rich fertilizer right now. The seller said to dilute 1 gr of fertilizer to 2 litres of water and feed every 20 days.

But of course she doesn’t know what I am growing, so I assume this instruction may not be for me.

I asked her what will happen if I feed every 10 days instead of 20, to which she answered that I may burn the roots out.

I wonder what do you guys think? Should I take it easy with potassium? Do these plants want much potassium?

Please let me know. @Gpaw , @George

What are you giving her now? icon_e_confused|nullxnull

I would not exceed the recommended dose rates.

As a rule, I expect the fertilizer manufacturers to recommend the maximum amount (just short of toxicity).
So, with an unknown product, I start at 50% recommended dosage and ‘ease my way into it’ until I have some experience with the product.

In the old days the preferred answer was “I’m growing Tomatoes” … because if it worked for tomatoes it worked for weed…

Yeah, what he said. I think.

Day 45 for a big lady.
I cant believe how generous she is. Today is the first day of me feeding her with potassium. I sprayed it all over her, and poored much into the soil. From there it went into the tray, and I let the water sit there for good 10 minutes to make sure that absorbed enough.

Day 14 for small ones.
My only guess here is some insect or mosquitos right?

These 2 youngs are worrying me.
Am I overfeeding them?
Underfeeding them?
Insect issues?
pH issue?

Even the the youngest true leaves are turning brownish.

My guess would be overfeeding, also see some tacoing, are they in direct sunlight? ds-850

Day49
I noticed yesterday that pistils started turning brownish. Is it the sign of maturity? I have seen no sticky trichomes so far. Dry buds, but very smelly.

Depending on your environment as well as your genetics could be sandy trichomes you get more so then sticky.

But also if your growing a somewhat industrial area i would consider giving those ladies a nice rinse when you harvest.

And how often do you water your plants.
