My Water Culture

at this level the plant surface looks like it’s synthetic…something crafted by technology. Yah I suppose it was…crafted by the oldest tech in the books. DNA.

here are the clones roots. They are looking good!

Also It’s harvest time for the king tuts! They are faded nicely heh heh.

Last but not least, I have the meat breath. Buds are bulking!

The king tut plants are done! They purpled up quite nicely, and I can’t wait to make the hash! wheeee!

here’s the remains of the whole thing. Dead root ball and everything! I used clippers to cut through the main stems, scissors won’t do.

This time I got ferrets in to trim the weed. They’ll do it for a crumpled up ball of tinfoil.
I wash the buckets as I empty out the root balls, in prep for the next planting. The next bloom phase with the big bud is going to start soon! I can’t wait. I am going to test the EC in the meat breath, it looks like one plant is running on empty already.

ok all that shit is cleaned up! I swept and lifted up the plastic and swept up under there as well. Floor and plastic cover is looking pretty decent, so I don’t have to scrub it. I’ll mop after I sweep on the next go, just to get any tiny crumbs of plant material left. The beauty of the water culture is how easy it is to clean up! Buckets don’t leak and leaves go in the compost…ahhhhh. Sometimes I will take those plastic sheets and put them in the bath tub and run hot water over them. Since it’s simple panda plastic it’s not some kind of breeding ground for disease. Crap can survive on organics only.
I asked the poisoner if he was still battling spider mites and mildew he said well it’s winter so they should be under control - code for biohazard run for your life.

I do not know how people can live with intruders in their grow space. So invasive and to say “it should be under control” is outright careless. Some people grow because they strive to create the ever so elusive masterpiece. Some people just grow so they dont have to buy weed. Maybe even some people grow because they like to smoke spider mites

I have a few stories about bugs that I keep on tap.
buddy is smoking this weed he’s like “ooo it makes me so hiiigh!” So I get out the 'scope and declare it’s infested with spider mite carcasses. He’s like “It’s the carcasses that make me so high!”
So I’m over at the poisoner’s place he’s wrestling with mildew and spider mites. He’s like “you think you will be able to grow without pests? They are going to come back!”
Both of those stories are from like 20 years ago, lol! People give up when they can’t figure it out, it’s like mental suicide.

I have a far different approach, although it can be infuriating sometimes. I have to study the problem! Find a solution, no matter how long it takes. That leads to days where you just feel dead inside when that last idea you had was a total fuck-up solving nothing. Then you have to figure out where it all went wrong when you just want to rip out your hair and scream at the moon.

I cranked up the EC on these plants, except the small one was OK still. Over the next day the off-color should go away.

I’ve never really showed people my harvest, but rest assured, it’s off the hook
check it out. 4 plants.

I thought the line was going to sag to critical levels, that’s when I am most happy. Oh well next time!

oh I also filled up the freezer again. hah hah! I didn’t take a photo of that, but I think I’ll make the first hash batch today! joyyyyyyyyyyyyygasm!

I forgot to mention that line above is my drying/curing rack. It smells like a chlorophyll hay barn down there right now, but that should change by tomorrow. Or the next day. It’ll be really soon! I’ll mention it when it’s “cured” aka dried out. The humidity is controlled at 45% RH.

Bwuahhahaha, I love kids in the hall!!!

ok! One of the plants crushed the other plant…woops! shoulda tied it up.

you can see the plant in the back row collapsed, but I’ve tied it up now. lol! I’ll make sure I have them all tied up today. I guess the buds are packing on the girth. That plant in the front is fairly purple now, didn’t expect much purple 'till later.

So you can see the damage caused by the pathogens.

The clones rooted eventually though!

got it all prepped for the next run! I’m going to put them in very soon, like in a couple days. Or today. Who really knows.

Here’s generation kickass.

Soon I’ll move them directly under the light when I get the others outta there. Going to have 2 meat breaths, then one big bud on the next couple go’s.

The smell of hay is gone. If I stand outside the lab door and give a good sniff I can’t smell it anymore. That’s the sign I should bag it up!

I went and scrubbed up all the pathogens and scrubbed the smallest clone machine I’ve got. 3 site cloner, I’ll probably slap 6 big bud in there 2 per site. Then I can move them over! I have, I think, 4 pathogen big bud clones and the remaining meat breath. oo and the king tut buds are mm mmm good so… flavor savored.

A shitty photo of the new clones I took, but also a good photo of the meat breath plants! They are blooming!
