CBG auto will be ready for splashdown by tomorrow!
Other little seedlings, the sensi and c99. I’ve never grown so many different seedlings at one time! Although, when I grew the big bud I think I popped them in batches of 10, weeded it down to a single plant. The ferrets aren’t as active these days, I might have to make all these new plants straight into hash to test em!
gotta plant the CBG tonight, and I’ve been working on erecting the cooling system. Steel hangars and wire for the tubes and some lags for the filter. I got 500 lbs worth of lags so the filter is really light. I probably over did it. Buuut nobody could ever say I skimped on the specs hah hah. There’s a forest fire burning around here and the power went out last night, so it’s kind of apocalyptic. Fire is small though, so I hope there’s no evacuation fuuuuuuuuck I hate that. Especially when I’m trying to finish a project lol! It just adds more time to the whole deal. Power was out for hours, not sure why.
Sucks about the fire man.
yah, prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. I can drive down and watch the helicopters try and put it out. Also! Planted the CBG auto!!! I’ve still got to give it some nutrient dose, I was thinking of starting out stronger like EC 1. I always start out at .5…but hey I can live a little. If the plant dies, I know the score lol! Since this is a seedling auto I put it right into the bucket, it’s final home, and we’ll see what happens!
excellent news! Place isn’t going to burn down, that chopper did it’s thing, and I don’t hear it circling anymore.
Personally I feel much better! The fucking COVID vaccination made me kind of weak for a couple days…but hey. At least it’s over…so we hope I’ve managed to stay COVID free so far!
CBG seedling has survived the first night, but I think I should lower the water level. It’s already putting a root down and no damage from increasing the conductivity. You can see the little seedlings… 2 sensi on the end and c99 in the middle! Oh and my nuts meat breath crop… still in holding pattern.
Congrats on vaccine and dodging the fire! Grow looks stunning man
Glad to here the fire is out and your safe from that👍 and your garden is Stellar as usual. I’ve been through that evacuation thing before not fun
lol thanks for the well wishes, turns out I’ll still need 'em. The chopper is right up behind my house now, but the fire is a small one, probably been smoldering for days. I walked up and checked it out myself, told the rapid attack guys where it was on the ridge. There were no visible flames, so it should be ok. hah hah hope springs eternal.
well! The chopper left already, so it’s looking good. It was just a little pissy wildfire nothing too serious. Second one in as many days, summer is off to a great start!
Sending positive vibes
Ahhh partied my ass off last night. Buddy took out a foot long rolling machine from the old days and we spun up a gigantic joint. Everyone I knew was there hah hah and by that I mean all the survivors. Ahh so many fallen soldiers in the last few decades! Yet, some of their kids are almost thirty now…man time flies eh? “Hey when was the last time I saw you? Was it a pandemic ago?” hah hah! Also I called in another wildfire! 4 in three days! This one is several kilo’s away though. Wonder woman told everyone she’s pregnant… gross. Gave me the heebie jeebies! I can tell you one thing I’m not doing in life, and that’s having a kid when I’m 50. Nasty!
Alright! Back to businesssssss! there’s the cbg plant! I got myself a rodent selected to test this stuff on!
more seedlings! sensi and c99. Almost time to increase the conductivity again. The CBG plant I started out strong, so I’m hoping to skip all the monkeying around I keep doing with the conductivity in the rubbermaid. I usually never bloom out seedlings! wheeeee!!!
ok database is pretty much ready to go. They changed the syntax on me for the serial number columns.
Little CBG’er! Achieving all milestones for a seedling in short order. True leaves growing, root down, stem elongating.
I think in the bloom I am going to have to take down the meat breath before I set up the last tube. The thing is, I can’t really work around them, or over them. I can get everything assembled up to that point though!
probably should put more in there. The roots are looking like it’s 50% strength in the nutrient solution.
I have a new nutrient deficiency entry into the chart. I call it the “low EC warning” and it happens to the roots. They get all thin and like hairs, that’s a sure sign. oh shit! I better take a photo of it so people know what I’m talking about lol! gimme a sec.
And here’s my integrated pest murderer, I think that’s a female due to the lack of face-junk reproductive organs. I didn’t look too close, but the old spider died off. They are my canaries and killers of bugs, if I see a parasite trapped in the web, I know it’s not good. So far, just a few gnats from the grape fruit seedlings, those things really can fly through an open door, cause I left the grow room door open during the organic crop raising.
… I am the spider lord.
ok can you see how one root looks kind of segmented and thin the other is this thick white beast? The first image on the tip of the root it’s like translucent. That’s low EC warning from the seedling. The second image is the CBG seedling, and the root is not translucent. It’s solid white!
The root tell, is that just seedlings? Either way it’s a cool indicator that you better start feeding. I’m always on the fence about when to start. Obviously you probably don’t wanting to get that far. Good information
Good question! I haven’t checked, but I would say there is a high probability. The micro nutrient levels would be low like calcium and have some kind of effect on root development. Definitely a controlled study before I could say 100%.
I increased the conductivity some more, as a preemptive measure. Should be up near EC 1. There’s a polymer strand on the tip of the root.
